Man, you are one of the most obsessed gun nuts I have ever seen—your dick must size of a tic-tac!!

Let’s hope.you have an accident real, REAL soon…. you and the rest of your NRA fuckard comrads should do the country a favor and just start offing eachother.

Quote of the day—Rutrow

The way the recording industry killed Napster in the ’90’s was by proliferating file sharing network with defective music files. People got sick of music that had random gaps of silence interspersed during the songs. Unless you were REALLY cheap, you went ahead and spent the $0.99 for the quality version.

How about distributing gun design files with fatal flaws engineered in? The yokels who download these plans would be easily identifiable by eye patches and the lack of several fingers.

Quote of the day—Hamilton Nolan

Read a f****** history book. Read a recent history book. The U.S. had thousands of domestic bombings per year in the early 1970s. This is what happens when citizens decide en masse that their political system is corrupt, racist, and unresponsive.

‘The people out of power have only just begun to flex their dissatisfaction. The day will come, sooner that you all think, when Trump administration officials will look back fondly on the time when all they had to worry about was getting hollered at at a Mexican restaurant.

This Is Just the Beginning
[There may be interesting times ahead. I was asked last Monday if I thought there would be a civil war in our country soon. I told them, “No. At least not one like the previous one with two or more militaries and visible government support on each side.”

However, Jim Goad does point out:

Third of Americans see a new US Civil War likely soon. As it stands currently: North 1, South 0. https://t.co/v8EtMgxgTz

In the following thread Jordenius‏ @Jordenius offered a correction of:

Republicans 1, Democrats 0.

Which, for some reason, in my mind, made it more real and likely to occur.

But when I think about it I still don’t think it will be military v. military. It will be left wing terrorists against the existing governments and hapless individuals caught in the middle. Which means the left wing terrorists will not have broad public support and will for the most part lose. It might play out similar to how it did in the 1970s.—Joe]

Quote of the day—David Salisbury

Hone in on our intention. This tragedy of rampant gun violence, murder, mass killings – all these terrible, painful things that we are seeking to stop, to put an end to this night . . . . We curse you, merchants of mayhem, profiteers of pain, dealers of death, you who fatten on the blood of innocents and feast like demons on their corpses! May your thoughts and prayers turn to poison in your mouths. May every mother’s cry be a bullet to your heart. May the weeping of children rend your flesh like shrapnel

If there is anything I can do at all that’s even remotely effective, that might be magic,

Documentary film depicts binding ritual on Trump, NRA
[H/T NRA-ILA who offer this perspective:

It kind of makes sense.

We all know that gun control is based mainly on magical thinking.

Salisbury believes himself to be a witch and is using his supposed powers against the the NRA.

At first I wondered, if he believes in his magical powers, why didn’t he use them to stop evil people from murdering others in the future. But then I realized that, of course, a witch aligns against the good people of the NRA. He is on the side of evil.—Joe]

Hate defined

HateDefined

Some of the words are a little difficult to read so here is the conversation in normal text:

Person A: And everything else

Person B: Yes. This.

Person C: Ya’lls likes are bringing me so many smiles. Thank you. Of course the first comment here (which I have deleted) was toxic sludge from a rich, straight white cis male.

Person D: If only we could delete them irl so easily.

Brian also adds:

I found this on the Facebook page of a person in Seattle.

Imagine publicly stating you were sick of a group of people (such as straight white men), based on an attribute that you assigned to the whole group (greedy!).

You’d never get elected and your friends would stop talking to you.

Unless the target of your rage is straight white cis men.

Then it’s okay when a friend talks about killing 1/3 of the country.

How is this different than how Germans talked about Jews—just before the Weapons Control Act of 1938? This is why we won’t be giving up our guns.

They want you dead

I had been thinking about it for a while but didn’t want to go through the work of finding all the old posts but someone in the comments (Drew Rinella) suggested I create a new category “They want you dead”. So, when I woke up at 3:00 AM this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep I got on my computer and created the new category, did a bunch of searching for the posts that matched, and edited them to include them in the category.

I then did some catch up on reading other blogs and found this:

So very apropos.

I have pinned this post to the top of my blog. It is to remind people of what many of our opponents want. Alison Aires wants a tyrannical government. They want summary execution for private possession of firearms.

This is why we have a Bill of Rights. This is why I created Boomershoot.

Criminal constituents

From Philadelphia, via Paul Koning, who says, “Yes, they do want you dead”. Controversial bill would force business owners to take down bulletproof glass:

A bill moving through city council reads:  “No establishment shall erect or maintain a physical barrier.”

Philadelphia is extremely anti-gun. Hence, one could easily defend the hypothesis that the city council considers the criminal class their primary constituents. Don’t laugh! In the Soviet Union criminals were considered allies in building communism.  And it wouldn’t be the first time in the U.S. politicians deliberately sided with criminals.

Sebastian has some thoughts on the topic as well.

Quote of the day—Dana Loesch‏ @DLoesch

Spent my weekend preparing to move due to repeated threats from gun control advocates.

One guy hunted down my private cell phone number, called when police were here, threatened to shoot me in my front yard. Another guy created a string of social media accounts, posted photos of my house, threatened to rape me to death. Another gun control advocate, after threatening to hunt me down and assault me, dragged my kids into it.

Glad to hear it

CBS did the right thing:

CBS fired a company executive Monday after she criticized some victims of the Las Vegas mass shooting as “Republican gun toters” who did not deserve sympathy.

She wrote:

If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing. I’m actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans often are Republican gun toters.

Don’t forget, this is what some people think of gun owners. They do not think of us as fully human and deserving of life and/or liberty. Violence in support of their beliefs is easily justified. It’s part of their nature.

To the filthy and coward non-believers and to the holders of the Christ emblem, we bring the good news, which will keep them awake, that a new generation in the Islamic State … that loves death more than life … this generation will only grow steadfast on the path to Jihad, stay determined to seek revenge and be violent toward them.

  • They think of you as a filthy and cowardly non-believer.
  • As long as you are a non-believer ISIS will be determined to be violent against you.
  • The new generation in the Islamic State loves death more than life.

It would appear to me they desire we make one of only two active choices. In either case we give them what they want. Although there is potential for other, long term, active choices if I were directly faced with making the decision on short notice I know what my choice would be.—Joe]
