There are hundreds of studies by dozens of professional organizations—such as the American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychological Association—that seek a foolproof methodology for identifying people likely to commit violence, but no definitive method has been found. Therefore, the quest for a gun control law that would accomplish the reduction in firearm killings to near zero is delusional.

Clearly, the only way to reduce the number of firearm killings to zero is to abolish gun ownership.

My proposal for a humane, revised second amendment would read: “No person may own, keep or use a firearm. Only members of well-regulated law enforcement organizations and the military may bear, but not own, firearms.”

[Yup, I can see that. The minute gun ownership is banned firearm killings would go to zero. It simply wouldn’t be possible for anyone to use their guns anymore.

And this Einstein claims to be a mathematician. It’s possible is smart in some very narrow field but he clearly doesn’t understand the Bill of Rights, U.S. history, criminology, or psychology.

[Interesting claims. Nearly all the gun owners I know who don’t have NRA memberships say the reason is because they NRA gives up our rights too easily. The others I know say it’s because they don’t want to be on a list the government might someday get access to and use to confiscate their guns.

Going on to the next portion of the sentence, the NRA claims they have something like 6 million members. If that represents only 2% of gun owners then EisenhowerConservative is of the belief there are 300 million gun owners in this country out of a population of about 325 million, of which about 35 million are under the age of 18. So, EisenhowerConservative  believes the entire adult population and a significant portion of teenagers are gun owners.

Hence, we must conclude EisenhowerConservative is a liar and/or has crap for brains. It is my hypothesis that one or both attributes are prerequisites for being a gun control advocate. EisenhowerConservative is just one more data point confirming that hypothesis.—Joe]

All personality disorders share two things. One is that nothing is ever their fault. It is always the fault of the victim of their abuse What you see above is more crazy talk that is so typical of anti-gun people.

My counselor and books I have read on how to deal with these type of crazy people have told me the way to deal with them is as follows:

  1. Tell them their behavior is unacceptable.
  2. Tell them there will be consequences if they violate the behavior rules.
  3. If they violate the rules make certain they suffer the consequences.

As my counselor told me, “Live will not be peaceful, but it will be much better than if you just take the abuse.” It’s time to stop the abuse.—Joe]

Judge rules: Massachusetts’ assault weapons ban doesn’t violate 2nd Amendment
[I am reminded of US v. Miller (emphasis added):

The signification attributed to the term Militia appears from the debates in the Convention, the history and legislation of Colonies and States, and the writings of approved commentators. These show plainly enough that the Militia comprised all males physically capable of acting in concert for the common defense. “A body of citizens enrolled for military discipline.” And further, that ordinarily, when called for service these men were expected to appear bearing arms supplied by themselves and of the kind in common use at the time.

And of US v. Heller (emphasis added):

as we have
explained, that the sorts of weapons protected were those
“in common use at the time.”

I find it odd that a U.S. District Judge has such poor reading comprehension skills. Perhaps Alzheimer’s has taken it’s toll and it’s time for him to get professional care. Or was it someone had blackmail material on him?

The crazy years

In one of Heinlein’s books, Methuselah’s Children, he briefly mentioned “the crazy years” (see also here and here for more on the topic) which lead to a breakdown of society. He wrote it in 1958 and was referring to a time of approximately the early 1970s. While the 1960s could be viewed as crazy in a lot of respects they can’t hold a candle to what we are going through now.

[Wow! I knew Trump was incredibly persuasive, but this is almost unbelievable.

Well… actually, I don’t believe it at all. Gallagher has some sort of mental disorder if he believes this.

And, in fact, if politics were involved (highly speculative at this point) in this shooting the odds are that the shooter was a Democrat and if the victims were not random then the chances the victims were not Democrats are higher than local demographics would predict. Even if this is true, unexpected by rational people, and newsworthy DON’T publish this sort of stuff about mass murderers:

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Mass murderer [scum bag] is getting stacks of fan mail and love letters sent to the Broward County jail, along with hundreds of dollars in contributions to his commissary account.

Teenage girls, women and even older men are writing to the Parkland school shooter and sending photographs – some suggestive – tucked inside cute greeting cards and attached to notebook paper with offers of friendship and encouragement. Groupies also are joining Facebook communities to talk about how to help the killer.

The murderer getting attention and fame is a big part of why we have copycats. Yes, we have a First Amendment that protects this publication, but an irresponsible media that publishes even the names of mass shooters bears far more responsibility for copycat murders than the NRA and all gun owner in the U.S. combined.

I have to believe they want more mass shootings. They cannot be that stupid. They cannot have such total crap for brains and still be able to breathe on their own.
