This is about stuff in the mass media that generally has a short interest life span. Speculation about an election outcome a few days before the election is an example.
Human psychology is an odd thing. A person can justify and rationalize all sorts of evil for all sorts of reasons. Collective action allows people to absolve themselves of guilt by saying “well, everyone was doing it!” (think social drinking, or conspiring to cheat on a test), or “I was ordered to do it” (think crew-served weapons like machine guns or cannons in war-time). Napleon used a lot of cannon batteries because he knew that people would not want to “let their buddies down”, and that being part of a team effort allowed each man to tell himself “I didn’t kill all those men, I just loaded powder charges,” (or carried cannon balls, or pulled a lanyard, or managed the limber, or whatever). Almost anyone in the computer security field will have been nearly certain of foreign intelligence access since the existence of Hillary’s private email server became known. After Wikileaks started dumping Hillary’s email who could believe otherwise?
Authorities now believe there is about a 99 percent chance that up to five foreign intelligence agencies may have accessed and taken emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server, two separate sources with intimate knowledge of the FBI investigations told Fox News.
The revelation led House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul to describe Clinton’s handling of her email system during her tenure as secretary of state as “treason.”
Hillary Clinton may be guilt of treason? Who thinks this is news?
A couple days ago someone told me they were of the opinion that using the traditional punishment for treason on a fairly broad scale this time would be a deterrent for politicians in the future. This is probably true. I would like to further point out that auctioning off positions on the firing squads and selling the video rights to the executions, with the funds earmarked for future investigations, could also be a big motivator for government employees to obey the law and the constitution.
I can’t help but imagine the drunken sobbing in the writer’s room for House of Cards. Nothing they could imagine would be as dark and twisty as the current state of politics. HoC has gone from a dark mirror of contemporary politics to a sunny, optimistic take on the subject.

More than a handful of people that read this blog are programmers. Anyone know the best way to get this into the hands of people that can actually do something about it?
Considering Washington State is an entirely vote-by-mail bubble-form and counted by machine state, the possibility of rigging by this method is more than a little plausible.
For what it’s worth, I found it from a Drudge link to Infowars, so it’s not like nobody else will hear about it, but…..

FBI investigates the husband of a close aide of Clinton who allegedly was sexting pics of his d*** to an underage girl and surprise surprise, they come across what can only be classified information on his phone or tablet. Now that rigged & closed email investigation into Clintons server has been re-opened and everyone wants to know whats going on.
It takes trolling to a whole new level. Most bizarre election ever. The “humor” category tag is invoked, but it’s dark, very dark, humor. It’s like a Mobius strip written in LISP, a recursive self-referential redaction of a caricature of reality.
Think about this for a minute. After the chill up your spine subsides make appropriate contingence plans:
The wireless provider released a statement saying that a malware attack via Twitter on Tuesday night “generated some unplanned 911 calls but 911 services and calls were not affected.”
“We are obligated by FCC regulations, as is every other wireless carrier, to notify authorities in your city if 911 services might at all be impacted, which is what we did when this problem was first detected. But this actually affected 911 nationwide and on any Apple device running iOS 10 or earlier (regardless of wireless carrier).
The malware has been disabled, but we’re advising our customers who clicked on the link to reboot their phone and update their software to 10.1. We’re also working with Apple to determine if any additional steps are needed.”
Apparently some number of malware infected iPhones repeated called 911, nationwide, in a denial of service attack on our emergency services.
Why would someone want to reduce or eliminate your ability to contact emergency services?
They get a kick out of breaking things.
They want to increase their odds of success in some sort of criminal/terrorist attack.
I can’t think of another reason.

As Jaime told me last night at dinner, this is historic. This is probably the biggest presidential political scandal ever. Nixon deleted 18.5 minutes of audio tape, which wouldn’t have been illegal had they not been under subpoena, and was driven from office. Clinton deleted tens of thousands of emails she was required by law to keep and were also under subpoena. Project Veritas has exposed the directing of people and organizations engaged in voter fraud and incitement of violence by the Hillary Clinton campaign and Hillary Clinton herself.
Part III of the undercover Project Veritas Action investigation dives further into the back room dealings of Democratic politics. It exposes prohibited communications between Hillary Clinton’s campaign, the DNC and the non-profit organization Americans United for Change. And, it’s all disguised as a duck. In this video, several Project Veritas Action undercover journalists catch Democracy Partners founder directly implicating Hillary Clinton in FEC violations. “In the end, it was the candidate, Hillary Clinton, the future president of the United States, who wanted ducks on the ground,” says Creamer in one of several exchanges. “So, by God, we would get ducks on the ground.” It is made clear that high-level DNC operative Creamer realized that this direct coordination between Democracy Partners and the campaign would be damning when he said: “Don’t repeat that to anybody.” The first video explained the dark secrets and the hidden connections and organizations the Clinton campaign uses to incite violence at Trump rallies. The second video exposed a diabolical step-by-step voter fraud strategy discussed by top Democratic operatives and showed one key operative admitting that the Democrats have been rigging elections for fifty years. This latest video takes this investigation even further.
In nearly every scenario you can imagine, the person experiencing an unlikely addition to their reality is the one hallucinating. If all observers see the same addition to their reality, it might be real. But if even one participant can’t see the phenomenon – no matter how many can – it is almost certainly not real.
If you see something unlikely – such as a new Hitler rising in the midst of America – and I see nothing remotely like that – I’m almost certainly right and you’re almost certainly having the illusion. I say that because the person who sees the unlikely addition to reality is the one experiencing the illusion nearly every time. Trump as Hitler-in-America is an addition to reality that only some can see. It is a pink elephant. It is a classic hallucination.
I’m not trying to say I’m smarter than anyone else. I just don’t see the pink elephant. Nor do perhaps 40% of the country who prefer Trump as president. And when that many people don’t see a pink elephant in a room, you can be sure it isn’t there, no matter how many do see it.

Aaron Black, the deputy rapid response director for the DNC is caught on camera bragging about his involvement with the Chicago Trump protest that turned violent in March. In this video he schemes about getting men to bully women at a Trump rally, saying “That is what I’m going to do. That is the hit.”
In the second video of James O’Keefe’s new explosive series on the DNC and Hillary Clinton campaign, Democratic party operatives tell us how to successfully commit voter fraud on a massive scale. Scott Foval, who has since been fired, admits that the Democrats have been rigging elections for fifty years:

The first two videos have resulted in the firing of two people in the videos. My guess is the people were fired because they were stupid enough to talk about the illegal activities they have been engaged in for years. I’m certain it is not because they haven’t been doing the jobs they were paid for by the DNC and the Hillary campaign.
The Overton Window is the range of “acceptable thought” in ordinary public life. One of the goals of the left is to simply push any ideas they don’t like outside the Overton Window. They do this by Bowderizing books, by harassment, name-calling, shaming, and double standards. But most importantly by using language; by declaring some words or phrases “beyond the pale,” and as such, anyone who says, uses, or believes them is likewise beyond the pale, is a common tactic. (ever wonder where “Pale” was, so you’d know where to avoid? (first meaning)).
To the left, words, and feelings of the moment, are far more important than actual actions, logic, or consequences. they are in a surreal place where your perceptions define reality. They really think that it does depend on what the meaning of “is,” is. And they feel it’s totally OK to redefine it on the fly, and differently for different people. So, to leftist followers, simply an assertion that someone is racists / sexist / whateverist is grounds for shunning and more.

I came across an interesting story. A different perspective that brings together the mystery of the mega-fauna die-out in the last ice age, science-geek level photosynthesis details, global warming / climate change, crop science, and more. It was written sort of like a mystery story, but I think it merits consideration and more research.
Ultra-short version: there is more than one type of photosynthesis, they operate at different efficiencies at different CO2 concentrations, different types of plants utilize different methods of photosynthesis, and different animals eat different types of plants. Nothing earth-shattering from each of these items individually. Very interesting when considered together, because organisms respond to changes in the environment.
Infogalactic is a new web knowledge-base, sort of. It’s a Big Fork of Wikipedia. Start with their open information, clean up the back end supporting database mechanisms, add a better editor system, add a better “different view for different folks” mechanism (that and more laid out in the Road Map page), change the presentation to fact-level, context-level, and opinion-level view, etc, and turn in into a much better, more reliable knowledge source. You could, for example, be the sole editor of your bio page, so you don’t get edit-wars by your political supporters and opponents: check out how often Hillary and Trump’s pages have been altered (8 times so far today, 11 times yesterday, etc)!

By now anyone paying any attention to politics will have at least heard of the disgusting attitude Donald Trump has, or at least had, toward women. The consequences of this might well be that Trump loses, and rightly so, the vote of a large majority of women and many men.
I assume that publication of this recording was okayed by the Clinton campaign. And if not, the public will assume so anyway. That opens the door for Trump to attack in a proportionate way. No more mister-nice-guy. Gloves are off. Nothing is out of bounds. It is fair to assume that Bill and Hillary are about to experience the worst weeks of their lives.

My prediction of a 98% chance of Trump winning stays the same. Clinton just took the fight to Trump’s home field. None of this was a case of clever strategy or persuasion on Trump’s part. But if the new battleground is spousal fidelity, you have to like Trump’s chances.
Heading into the second presidential debate, Donald Trump and his allies have signaled that he will bring up a variety of claims concerning the sexual behavior of former president Bill Clinton. Clinton has acknowledged being unfaithful during his marriage to Hillary Clinton but has denied charges of sexual assault.
Trump may also raise a rape case that Hillary Clinton handled as a young lawyer in Arkansas, as well as claim that she attacked Bill Clinton’s accusers.
The suspected rapist she defended is the most damning for Hillary Clinton:
This refers to a 41-year-old case that resurfaced when the Washington Free Beacon in 2014 discovered unpublished audio recordings from the mid-1980s of Hillary Clinton being interviewed by Arkansas reporter Roy Reed for an article that was never published. The case was also covered extensively in a 2008 article by Glenn Thrush in Newsday.

Milo was due to speak at FAU on Thursday but authorities deemed the talk too dangerous, not because Milo’s speech on “How Feminism Hurts Women” was too controversial, but because student organizers received a note from an unnamed individual, threatening to blow up the event, or kill students who attended.
