It Was the Voter’s Fault

Quote of the Day

Who would have guessed lying about Biden’s cognitive health for 2 yrs, refusing to do an open convention for a new nominee, never mentioning public healthcare & embracing fracking, the Cheneys & a yr long slaughter of children in Gaza wouldn’t be a winning strategy?

Anyone with half a brain? But I thought liberals’ whole thing is being smart? It’s not? They actually just blindly cheer the parade of rickety optics wrapped up in New York Times fonts that is the modern Dem Party?

Well at least it’s time for the dusty hacks & careerists to spread their feathers wide post election and blame Russia and third party candidates. That should fix things.

This was a large donor to the Democrat party. I find this guy most interesting. His take on things, at best half right, at least puts the blame on Harris and the Democrat party.

I find it very telling that all the other whining I see on the web about Harris’s loss is based on introspection. It does not include asking republicans why they voted the way they did. And, one would think, they should especially be asking people who usually vote for democrats why they voted for Trump in this election.

I see, again and again, insistence the voters are sexist, racist, white nationalist, and/or fascist. Nevermind that black men, and all Latinos voted for Trump in greater numbers than in 2020. And in some counties a larger fraction of blacks voted Republican this year than they have since the 1870s! Nevermind these evil voters wouldn’t be pushing lawsuits through the courts that make it easier for individuals own guns and training them on how to defend themselves from the likes of the KKK, men who women, and a fascist government.

Their mindset is it always someone else’s fault. The problem is not they are trying to sell an inferior product. The problem is the people are too stupid and/or evil to buy it. In an individual, this sort of reasoning is a strong indicator of mental illness. It can be argued it means the same thing in a group.

    • Oh, but they do. They own assets that make money while they sleep, which is also when inflation does its evil to poor folk’s buying power. They also hire people, so being able to pit Americans against people who can’t negotiate vigorously because they fear the knock on the door in the middle of the night (A fear that is or should be anathema to Americans.

  1. “It’s not my fault.”, said by Han Solo in one of the original Star Wars movies, was so funny because people recognized that mentality and attitude in contemporary people.

  2. Unfair for Democrats to blame Biden for this as he actually wasn’t in charge of anything.

I have been spending a lot of time of lefty websites because it is fun to watch them flail. But also because you learn from a defeat, not a victory. Only a few are not doubling down on crazy but perhaps when things calm down they will reflect further. Trump should drive them crazier to “keep the skeer up”. When he pardons the J6 political prisoners, he should also pardon Hunter Biden on the gun charge because the law is unconstitutional and say so.

    • Those are good points. He should just be sure to not pardon Hunter or anyone else for the corruption and bribery charges.

  3. It’s the Disney mentality.

To whit: The new “grrl-power” Star Wars series, The Acolyte, is by all reports, hot garbage. It’s so steeped in Woke ideology that it doesn’t make sense even for a sci-fi/fantasy series, contains plot holes big enough to fly a Star Destroyer through, and it’s just not fun to watch. Critics and life-long Star Wars fans alike have all panned it.

The response from the producers, director, and actors/actresses (“actxxes” for the non-binary?)? The fans are wrong/sexist/racist and too stupid to see the obvious genius that is The Acolyte.

Because it can’t be the product they’re selling that’s crap. It’s the people refusing to buy it that are the problem.

That’s the Harris-Walz campaign’s loss in a nutshell. They offered a steaming pile of crap to voters, and are now blaming the voters for seeing it as a steaming pile of crap and rejecting it.

Same as when Hillary lost in 2016; the problem obviously couldn’t be Hillary! It was racist/sexist voters!

This isn’t really intended to echo Windy Wilson’s comment above; Han Solo’s, “It’s not my fault,” line came from long before Disney took creative control of the franchise. It is an amusing coincidence, however.

  4. From Pat Buchanan,
“In half a lifetime, many have seen their God dethroned, their heroes defiled, their culture polluted, their values assaulted, their country invaded, and themselves demonized as extremists and bigots for holding on to beliefs held for generations.”
To say nothing of being taxed for the sheer joy of watching us sweat and worry over our ability to pay them.
Or the fact that EVERTIME there is a true crisis in the world. Be it earthquake to famine. We go and help. Something we as American were proud and happy to do.
But when east Palestine train wreck? Biden/Harris made it worse, then walked away.
Hurricane Helene? Same-same. They left people to suffer while offering aid and comfort to invaders. And told you that’s why they did it.
All of that left a very sour taste in Americans mouth.
But the real reason they lost was because somehow, someone stopped the cheat.
Don’t know if there were some tech wars going on in the background? A more watchful eyes on the whole process? Or a whole bunch of both.
But I do know communists don’t stop cheating and lying for no reason.
The big watch is if Trump actually takes down the agencies, or just tries to co-opt them for his own politics?

    • If Trump doesn’t take down the agencies, severely reigning them in will suffice.

Personally, I’d like to see the BATFE reduced to the BAT. Reclaim the taxpayer funds used for firearms/explosives enforcement, and fire all those agents. That should cull about 90% of the agency.

After all, there’s no Constitutional right to alcohol and tobacco. Firearms and explosives, however, all fall under 2A. (And then the restructured agency can finally be the super-important three-letter agency they always thought they were!)

Then find something useful to do with those no-longer-necessary funds. Immigration enforcement and completing The Wall, perhaps.

      • I like your thought process there. No need to abolish agencies outright and draw ire from the lefties. But hollow them out and dress the wolves in sheepskin. Trump already said he’d abolish about 50 Biden Executive Orders pertaining to firearms, within the first few days: goodbye to bump stock bans (Trump’s original EO, unfortunately….), pistol brace bans, “ghost gun” bans, extremist FFL dealer requirements, etc.

Similar things with NOAA, NWS, and other weather agencies. Cliff Mass wrote a great column on this – that the federal US weather predictive models are far less accurate then either domestic, commercial companies (Accuweather, Weather.com/IBM etc. ) or their European counterparts. TIme to combine multiple efforts, fund them appropriately, and produce better results.

Dept of Education? Keep the agency, and fund it so they can continue to provide supplemental milk money to kids who need it. They don’t need CRT or revisionist history lessons, however.

Wish he could come to Washington State and eliminate those same issues here….. but I still have hopes that the federal courts will solve our issues.

        • You overlook the fact that control of education for the past century+ is how the Left dumbed down the US citizens and indoctrinated so many of them into believing that Communism/Socialism is a proper thing to aspire to. “Kill it with Fire”, “nuke it from orbit”,… I’m sure there are a few more appropriate statements that can be applied to the problem. Drawing a blank at the moment…

          • Do onto them, as they would have done onto you?
Time to go Old Testament biblical. Joshua crossing the Jordon river time.
It’s what they have planned for us. And still do.
They just lost the sense of legitimacy they had for it.

      • All that would all be fitting and proper bro. And I’m hoping the bullet just passed his head locked in a hard reset as to whom he’s dealing with.
But politics is. And using Epstein’s client list for yourself, rather than exposing it, is how those people work.
We watched him do this same crap before. I mean, who couldn’t have put Hillary in jail?
And he didn’t wipe out the ATF last time. He instead gave them what they wanted. And a Texas judge finally put it all to bed just weeks ago.
Cost Joe and friends millions to fight the ATF on bump-stocks and assorted crap.
        That was all Trump.
Ya, I got a lot of hope to.
But Witney Web is already reporting on the backroom f–kery of the likes of Mike Pompeo and crew.
That and the fact Denninger is reporting of big inflation hitting about the time Trump takes office.
He’s got/going to have his hands full. And I will not be surprised at all if more than a few campaign promises slip through the cracks on us.

        • No matter what, I ain’t getting my hopes up about Trump till he makes Alex Jones the white house press secretary.

          • Absolutely.

Only, take away his microphone and give him back his bullhorn.

When we finally tire of the winning, promote him somewhere important, and replace him with Scott Adams.

      • BAT isn’t constitutional either, though perhaps it’s different in that it doesn’t violate an explicit Constitutional directive saying the opposite. But the principle of enumerated powers (first sentence of article 1 and the list in article 1 section 8) brings the same conclusion for A and T.

  5. I just saw a nice cartoon showing a hard hat in a Trump shirt and reflective vest, standing next to a guy in a suit saying to himself “perhaps it was a mistake to make him pay for my child’s college education”.
Yup. That’s certainly one of many.

  6. The left lost for two main reasons. Plenty of smaller subsidiary factors but two real reasons. One….they selected what could possibly be the two WORST most horrible nasty people possible as their candidates. People that even a rattlesnake would find it difficult to like. And second…the economy. For the past four years the horror show that is the American economy has gotten progressively worse every week. To the point where even many of the most ardent supporters of the communist left were finding life difficult to pay for on an ever increasing basis. That is a recipe for political failure almost every time.

Now the left hasn’t given up, gone away or surrendered. They will be back. Bigger and nastier than ever. They’ve simply gone to ground for a little while to lick their wounds, regroup and plot how they are going to return to continue their quest to destroy America. This election did not END anything. In fact it was the end of the easy part….electing Donald Trump. Now the HARD part begins. Changing things so that this doesn’t become just another 4 year hiatus in the ongoing road to the destruction of the country.

    • There’s another big piece, which is getting acknowledged faintly in a few of the media outlets: the fact that the Democrats made it very clear they don’t like men, and in particular white men.

  7. While reducing an agency’s size, cost and societal engagement instead of abolishing it entirely should reduce the potential aggrievement of the Left by some amount, it will not. Anything other than increasing the size and reach of Government is anathema to The Left.

Could Education, HHS, BATFE, Agriculture, et al be reduced in size very significantly and be employed in a minimalist fashion to perform tasks useful to America? Sure.

But……as long as an agency exists, in whatever severely reduced manner it does so, it invites The Left to reconstitute it, and not just back to its former glory but “bigger and better because we saw all the Bad Things (TM) that happened when it was reduced in size.” Almost all of those Bad Things (TM) will be fictional and/or imaginary, but they will constitute marching orders for the Perpetually Aggrieved to correct.

When gangrene appears in a limb there is a brief period in which treatment might be successful because the affected area is small; with the U.S. federal government that brief period expired well over half a century ago, and like progression of gangrene, amputation is the only remedy which will keep the patient alive.

There will be no discernable difference between The Left’s reaction to reducing the Department of Education by 50% or abolishing it entirely, bulldozing the building and executing the employees; the rage in either instance will be intense and prolonged, and leaving a functioning agency, of any size, will merely provide a target for their rebuilding efforts. “No pain, no gain” is a mantra of hard core weight lifters and body builders; it’s just as applicable in the reduction of government to its Constitutionally prescribed limits.

“One and done” should be the rallying cry and if nothing else, will display the Courage of Our Convictions for all to see and, hopefully, understand. “We ain’t putting up with this #$!@ any more” is an entirely reasonable position for those devoted to preservation and advancement of the United States of America as a Constitutional Republic dedicated to the liberty, freedom and personal success of its citizens and Approved Visitors.

If reduction is justified, and required, then it needs to be burned to the ground and the earth where it stood thoroughly salted; weakness at the task will not be rewarded.

    • Absol-freak’in-lutely spot on.
There are no half measures against communists. And they have certainly set the example for just doing something and riding the storm-out. Something we desperately need to take to heart.
And with the inflationary pressures that are coming to the Trump administration? It would be the perfect excuse to clear out DC sewer.
Trump needs to shave his head and come out dressed like Mr. Clean for the inauguration.
