Democrats want a great new society post-Trump. They just can’t agree on what it would look like.
I read the entire article twice, just to make sure. There is not even a glimmer of liberty in their thoughts. It is all about what government programs and institutions they can “be author of.” It is about the ways and means for them to ascend to power. They never consider a free market or a free mind.
And, of course, it included “combating gun violence.”
I view their activities being analogous to the Trump administration is attempting to extinguish a forest fire. The progressives are brainstorming about what to replace the forest fire with.
Prepare and respond appropriately.

You’re a communist sweety. You’all don’t build anything. And if you can’t admit that first, your strategy and tactics are just cheerleading the communist choir.
Communist in control of tech advancements is a loser from the start.

I tried to parse “The country as we know it may never exist the way that it had. And the reality is that the way that the country had existed was never its best form anyway.” and could only conclude that we’re dealing with Kamala level word salad here, semantically void and functionally illiterate.
That is a reasonable conclusion.
I think it also can be interpreted as, “I don’t want to be transparent about this, but we need fundamental changes not allowed under the constitutional constraints we have pretended to adhere to. We need to find new ways to make progress toward our communist paradise.”
@MTHead – au contraire, they are building something, specifically an authoritarian state, and their plans and thoughts all bend toward that end.
What we want is un-building, the dismantling of the leftist/authoritarian vision, which, unfortunately for all of us, isn’t what Trump is doing.

Unfortunately, communist only allow you to dismantle their control systems one way.
The Left perpetually suffers from a default position, what is routinely called “tunnel vision.”
It’s useful to understand tunnels are by necessity rigid structures, very limited in size and severely confining, serve to connect only one place to only one other place, very limited as to what can pass through them, expensive to build, and becoming trapped in one is almost always fatal.
Yes….our “side” needs to be the ones “building the future”…and while we are doing that we need to be HANGING all the ones on the “other side”. Because they will NEVER give up, go away or cease trying to enslave EVERYONE. Exterminating the left is like exterminating islam…it’s the ONLY rational response to their belief structure. Anything else is basically suicide.
