Is it a Lie? Or is it Ignorance?

Quote of the Day

What’s the efficacy of banning these magazine clips? I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those know they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these ‘high capacity’ magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.

Diana DeGette
U.S. Representative to Congress from Colorado
2013

Is it a lie? Or is it profound ignorance? I could go either way on it. I’m certain many people would believe her. And that false belief will increase the likelihood of passing magazine bans.

Just keep in mind that people like her are making the laws you will be prosecuted with.

Prepare and respond appropriately.

  1. I almost feel embarrassed for her. Except she’s a communist.
The worst part is she’s talking to a room full of people that seem intent on the pile of crap gushing out of her mouth.
They seem to be soaking it up.
Instead of revolting in horror that someone so demonstrably mentally ill was actually sitting at the table and speaking in authority.
Yuri told us about communists losing their sense of hypocrisy. But I don’t remember anything about a sense of shame.
But it would appear one follows the other very close in communists.
Princess Diana seems to prove the point nicely.
Where mean IQ might be an excuse for her actions. Her position requires that justice should set an example of her, after trial of course.

  2. Rep. DeGette, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.

    Modified from Billy Madison

  3. She so dumb, she makes K. ‘This is a ghost gun. It shoots 30 clips a second’ de Leon seem intelligent.

She fits right in with C. McCarthy (Dumb – NY) who thinks a barrel shroud is ‘the thing that goes up’ and should be banned.

I blame the voters, usually. When the lies that campaigning politicians say are revealed only after they win election, the voters get a pass. But no pass for voting for the incumbent.
Generally, by not doing their own due diligence, the voters get exactly what they vote for.

However, between elections, most voters try to ignore the idiocy. That must end.

  4. Maybe she is defining a new market — Amazon delivery of loaded magazines designed for one use and discarded. But don’t tell anyone that the mags are made of plastic derived from crude oil or there will soon be a double whammy law for an excise tax on top of the required 10 rounds or less magazine capacity. Not only that, but your ESG score will determine your waiting period for your order delivery. You will have to purchase the mags in advance but your delivery will be adjusted to match the risk you represent by your ESG score.

Try this one on your favorite low information acquaintance and see how excited they get. Could be a lot of fun tweaking them up.

    I wouldn’t rule out “both.”

She’s from, and elected by, Colorado, which has become dark blue, well on its way to violet, and a brimming Reservoir of Woke. What used to be called “detached from reality” has advanced from simple detachment to the complete rejection of it and establishment of bulwarks against it.

I’m afraid there is no treatment available for such a condition, only a cure.

  6. She appears to be as dumb as her fellow traveler “Guam could tip over from too many people” idiot legislator.

It certainly seems that politicians are getting much more stupid than they used to be. What is causing this? At a minimum it is embarrassing. I suppose it could be the instant media presentation of their lack of brains, but I don’t think that is the full story.

  7. This is what you get when most of our “representatives” in congress are installed and controlled meat-puppets, the product of widespread election fraud.

She’s reading a script. Dumb, ignorant, lying, doesn’t make a difference. She has no legitimacy as a leader after saying something that profoundly wrong. Heck, doesn’t deserve to have a vote for that.
