Quote of the day—Joe Biden

I am determined to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines like those used at Sandy Hook and countless mass shootings in America. Enough is enough. Our obligation is clear. We must eliminate these weapons, which serve no purpose other than to kill people in large numbers,

Joe Biden
U.S. President
December 14, 2022
Biden speaks of «societal guilt» for «taking too long» to address the problem of gun regulation in the U.S.
[Ignoring the blatant lie about their sole purpose is the mass killing of people*, I find it very telling that he (and his handlers) express no concern for the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It is as if those restraints on government do not exist in their minds. This is the mind of a dictator.

Don’t ever let anyone get away with telling you that no one wants to take your guns.

I hope they enjoy their trials.—Joe]

* I’ve firing over 100,000 rounds with “assault weapons and high-capacity magazines” without killing anyone. Are they going to claim my guns are malfunctioning or admit they lied about only having one purpose?

  1. Even if you wanted to ignore the Constitutional issues, Biden is still full of shit. He was crowing during his campaign about taking on the NRA and winning, by co-sponsoring the ’94 AWB. Which, after it sunseted, was shown to have had virtually no impact on crime. After, of course, being touted as being the end-all of crime suppression by its sponsors.
I thought he and a democratic-lead Congress had already passed a highly-restrictive law on firearms, just a few months ago. Which lead to zero interest in the Senate?

  2. Blah, blah, blah. Then by all means write an executive order. Damn posse comitatus and order the military and police to confiscate all firearms, shoot anyone resisting.
    You know, for the children.
Have admiral trans-fat-ass and Kamela come up with a five year plan or something.
We all look forward to ignoring whatever you morons decide on.
Or you and that group of feckless fools you call handlers could just shut-the -f–k-up about it already? It’s not like you’re going to do anything about violence anyway.
Besides, you’all got your hands full with rigging the next election for Gavin, don’t ya?

  3. Never forget that, to the criminal mind, the prospect of you being able to defend yourself is an on-going, personal threat to life and limb, AND a blatant and egregious insult to their presumed status, greatness and authority! Your guns are seen by them as tools of death, because of their criminal intent.

From their perspective then, they are correct to think they way they think about your guns. Those guns are for protecting their enemies and threatening them and their friends.

Like Cain hated Able, they hate you and want you shackled or dead, not because of your weaknesses and failings, but precisely and specifically because of your strengths and successes.

The law abiding, especially the armed law-abiding, represent a gnawing, ever-present, existential and very personal threat to the criminal mind, and THAT, and THAT ALONE is why they act so crazy at the thought of an armed populace, and why they hate the U.S. constitution so much.

The constitution looks to protect their enemies, and it poses a threat to them and the glorious criminal empire they’re building. What a foul and disgusting, evil thing it is for them!

Yet “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

  4. Joe – I’ll differ with only one part. While I’ve not fired anywhere near to 100,000 rounds, I have sufficient “assault weapons” and have fired them enough to understand their operation and purpose. And mine are not to shoot deer.

Their fundamental reason to exist is to shoot people.

I’ve not shot any people, and I hope to never shoot anyone. I certainly don’t plan to. I also prepare for the day I might have to. But make no mistake: the purpose of the rifles is to shoot people. The AR platform is marvelously versatile. It can be adapted to meet any number of roles, including hunting. But it’s designed to shoot people. Whether in a self-defense context, or in a more aggressively operational context, it is meant to kill people.

I do not shrink from acknowledging that. Nor do I wish to actually use it for that purpose. But the best way to avoid that purpose is to have those weapons. Deterrence works on a number of levels. Government SHOULD think twice about certain policies, and the possibility of armed resistance. That’s not a bad thing, that’s a good thing.

If I die shooting nothing but game and targets, I’ll die quite satisfied. But if armed resistance – civil war – is to happen, let it happen now, so my grandchildren do not have to fight that fight.
