    Amazon gets its head out of its ass and allows FFLs (maybe wholesalers) to sell on their platform as third-party sellers. But they can’t use their regular delivery solutions.

    Enter Gun2Go. Order placed, item goes from FFL/wholesaler to a Gun2Go franchisee, a non-brick-and-mortar, no-inventory-holding FFL company. 4473 and other paperwork was already filled out electronically based on Gun2Go profile, pre-submitted electronically as required, e-signed, all the background check stuff done already. Gun2Go makes delivery appointment, shows up where you are, checks photo ID, sign here, done, you have gun.

    Don’t try to rob a Gun2Go franchisee: the standard company car is an armored SUV with a vault in the back and a pop-out belt-fed, three-barrel gatling shotgun in a CROWS-like mount.

      When was the last time you had to go to a specifically licensed retailer, show state-issued identification, fill out a form and undergo a state background check to purchase kitchen cutlery? When was the last time someone had to undergo a background verification to purchase a “highly concealable” paring knife? Does an eight inch $170 Classic Wustoff chef’s knife from Amazon have different sale restrictions than a $12 Cuisinart version from Walmart?

      AFAIK, Amazon will ship either to your door, the only proof of delivery being a cell phone video of a box on your porch, and Walmart has theirs hanging on hooks in the kitchen aisle.

      There may have been a company-imposed age requirement requiring state-issued identification for the Walmart knife, but they’ll also check your ID for a 50-round box of 22LR; other than having the money for purchase, there’s not much of an impediment there or anywhere else.

      Now do a Ruger MK IV or a Perazzi double.
