Quote of the Day
The lawsuit continues recurring conflicts between local authority and Trump administration advocacy for gun rights that has played out in other cities and states.
A similar Justice Department lawsuit is pending against the District of Columbia over its restrictions on certain kinds of automatic firearms. The restrictions require registering many AR-15 and AK-47 style guns.
The District of Columbia has been joined by civil rights groups such as the Brady: United Against Gun Violence and the Giffords Law Center in asking a federal court to dismiss the lawsuit.

“Civil rights groups“??? I am amazed at their willingness to adapt such an Orwellian mindset. I didn’t expect that until much later in their march to totalitarian socialism. My presumption is their delusions have expanded even further outside of reality.
At least they are making it exceeding clear that the book Nineteen Eighty-Four is an example of their utopia instead of a dystopian novel.
Prepare and respond appropriately.
I’m reminded of the “civil rights group” called ACLU, which has long had an explicit policy not to support any gun rights claims or the 2nd Amendment.
Neale Schulman (in “Stopping Power”, great book, available online) documents this in detail.
“Civil rights groups“??? I am amazed at their willingness to adapt such an Orwellian mindset.”
Oh ya, communists can push the “Orwellian window” like no other cultists on earth.
These are the same people that call abortion “women’s health”. One could go on. But who has that kind of time to waste?
Communists are like lesbians and hair dye.
All you can predict is that it’s going to get ugly, in a hurry.
And whatever you do never show any outward signs of shock or dismay. It will only makes them worse.

“the book Nineteen Eighty-Four is an example of their utopia”
I assume you’re just being hyperbolic, but in case you aren’t: do you actually believe “the democrats” or “the liberals” or “the left” or whatever you want to call “them” view 1984 as “good” and a model for their desired future society?
I was referring to the anti-gun groups. Not the left in general. The dystopia appears because the individual policies are greater than the sum of their parts. No RKBA and inversion of the meaning of words takes you much closer to 1984 than the sum of those two policies by themselves.
In that vein, the pro-natalist groups view The Handmaid’s Tale as their utopia:

I doubt most Republicans, if they’d read and understood The Handmaid’s Tale, would view it as utopian. Likewise I doubt most Democrats (of any kind) view 1984 as utopian. Both novels are dystopias, and are generally recognized as such.
Meanwhile in the conservative utopia:

“The GOP state Speaker told local media, “I certainly hope the Supreme Court will overturn Amendment 14,” as the state moves to redistrict. The Fourteenth Amendment promises equal protection under the law, as well as due process and birthright and naturalized citizenship.
Ledbetter told the press that the Alabama House is still seeking more power to change their state’s elections, saying, “all we need now is the courts to overturn Fourteen, and we can look at the election.”
