I’m still suffering from the same illness. Sometimes I think I am cured and then a relapse happens.

In the thread for the above post there is the following meme. It makes the suffering from this illness just a little bit easier:

  1. Someone is not going to understand something when their ego, position, status or livelihood requires that they not understand it.

And it occurs to me that someone else can make a lot of money assisting people in not-understanding things.

  2. “I’m still suffering from the same illness.”

Same. I regularly demonstrate that fact around here with John.

  3. Wasn’t it Ann Landers who said it was un-American for 2A advocates to demand that gun control supporters be able to back up their claims with facts?

      • I think that should only apply to religious beliefs, and under no circumstances should it apply to the economic religions of the Big Government worshipers, aka Leftists. ” ‘To attach to a party programme . . . assent which we should reserve for demonstrable theorems is a kind of intoxication.’
This is your everyday Democrat or Republican partisan.”
        — Walter Kublius, American Science Fiction short story writer and Assistant Director.

What troubles me about this matter is that most doctrinaire Leftists (Stalinists, as I call them) won’t shut up long enough for you to express any sort of demonstrably logical theorem and will just shout you down, thinking you’ve thought through the matter no deeper than they have.
