After a generation of peace, Europe tells its people to prepare for war
I think this is Europe’s problem to deal with. But it is hard to imagine the U.S. staying out of it if another European country goes all in.
I want an underground bunker in Idaho before things go hot.
Nice of them to take this view while not doing anything serious to defend themselves.
As for “damage its economy” — they have done that very successfully on their own, due to the long established infestation of socialism. I suppose you could argue that Russia (the USSR) helped bring that about, but that’s of course hardly new. And then there is the little detail that Europe (Germany, to be precise) helped create the USSR just as France helped create theocratic Iran.
Now that EU bureaucrats have been so terrible for decades, it’s becoming obvious to voters who might be willing to boot out the current crop of elite parasites.
Unless those elites can shift the blame, and the discussion, to some other scapegoat.

You’ll want to have on hand, in unopened boxes, some HEPA (or even better, ULPA) filters that are approximately the same size (24″ x 24″, whatever depth) as a low-volume box fan for emergency ventilation of your underground bunker. These should be rated to stop 99.9% of sub-micron particulates at a minimum. You’ll need an emergency 115 VAC back-up power source to run it for a few hours a day; a deep-cycle marine battery with a solar panel charger and an inverter work well for this. You can improvise fan housing-to-filter connections with cardboard, plastic sheeting and duct tape that will be sufficient for a couple of weeks of fallout protection. You won’t get much air through such a filter with a fan, but it will be enough to ventilate a small room in which you’re sheltering.
Don’t forget to filter the air that’s feeding your woodstove, too. Even better is if you have a woodstove with a dedicated air duct feeding contaminated air directly to the combustion section of the stove. You’ll be momentarily exposed when you add wood, but the whole idea is to radically cut down the exposure since you won’t be able to completely eliminate it. Just like when I brew beer, I’m not trying to “sterilize” my equipment but rather simply “sanitize” it to prevent bad bacteria and wild yeasts from contaminating it.
If you absolutely HAVE to go outside, then plastic rain coats, boots, and gloves with duct tape, and full-face N95 masks (already fitted and experimented with) will suffice to keep the particulates off your body for short exposures. You’ll need an improvised airlock and washdown station separate from your living area before you come back inside.
If it’s biological rather than radioactive, you’ll want to have lots of chlorine bleach stored somewhere inside.
Here in TinyTown™ in NW Wyoming we’re in the fallout pattern for several of the missile bases that will be targets for first-strikes. I’m planning on just sitting on the deck and watching the show until one misses and lands a little too close to us. With our medical problems we won’t live more than 3-6 months once our medications run out after a first-strike anyway. The brave, new world will have to be picked up and made by younger folks than us.
The average recent-immigrant-parasite-“European” and refugees will not fight for the EU. If they are targeted for a draft they’d much rather return home.
