What Color is the Sky in His Universe?

Quote of the Day

Being armed to your toes seems unlikely to do anything but escalate the dangers for you.

Kwame Anthony Appiah
New York Times’ ethics columnist

Why Are More Democrats Becoming New Gun Owners? A New Trend?

It would be fun to watch Appiah try convincing a police officer, a surviving mass shooting victim, or a home invasion survivor of this.

  1. “New York Times’ ethics columnist”
That seems like an oxymoron to me.
Par usual, it’s all about the gun being dangerous.
Not the millions of criminals the “ethics columnists”, (read communist propagandist), have no problem letting roam the streets. Robbing, raping, and murdering pretty much at will.
    Nope, no danger there.
The only real danger is white people’s phobias.
You’all white people just be paranoids.
Sorry, Kwame, go back to Africa and sale it to Boko Haram.
Let us know how it works out for you. On second thought, don’t.
    We already know.

    • Here Kwame, this is America.
“Besides, the Second Amendment says “arms.” It doesn’t say “kinds of arms.” Continental Congress Delegate Tench Coxe’s views were reflective of what the understanding was at the time, when he wrote, “Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American…. [T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”
      BFYTW, commie bitches.

  2. After waiting 45 minutes for the police to respond to a stalker who was high on cocaine, breaking into an apartment that I was in I no longer believe that the police will be there to help you

    • Remember they have no duty to help you, that is settled law. Their actual job is to try to find and arrest the perps. If that happens long after you were murdered, that’s not their problem.

  3. The serious “entertainment” is not in the futile attempt to persuade law enforcement to disarm, but rather in the futile attempt to survive their inevitable coming encounter with violence. Some lessons require the protection of the gods to learn “the hard way”.

  4. Hard to understand the brain of someone who thinks that being able to defend oneself would only escalate the dangers for you.

  5. Oddly another black man, Caleb Howe thinks the opposite:
“Banning weapons is the most white privilege idea ever. Rich liberals scoffing at the idea that a person might need to defend their own life is a tower so ivory you can’t look at it in direct sunlight. It’s the personal safety equivalent of “just have the maid do it.”
