Bring Them to Justice

Quote of the Day

Attorneys general from Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming are joining forces to support the creation of a Second Amendment task force. This initiative is led by West Virginia Attorney General J.B. McClusky.

Idaho Attorney General Raul Garcia emphasized the importance of the Second Amendment. “The Second Amendment is not aspirational. It is a binding contract written by the founders to secure individual liberty,” he said.

The task force aims to use litigation to challenge gun control laws. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi supports the creation of this task force. Earlier this month, Bondi highlighted the task force’s role in using legal means to combat gun control legislation.

  1. Can you actually believe this post if they got Idaho AG Raul Labrador’s name wrong?
    Idaho Bob

  2. Well, attention to the problem is certainly welcome. And by the right people.
What I have a problem with is the approach. I mean, laws as simple to understand 2A should be pretty straight forward to enforce.
Is the ATF enforcing one of it’s anti-2A edicts in Idaho?
Arrest, trail, conviction. Off to IDOC with that person. No other feds involved. As that person has no standing under the 1st. law of the land.
Write any law you want. Enforcement will get you imprisoned in Idaho.
Were supposed to be independent states for a reason.
Know how fast you would go to jail for stealing objects or interfering with the rights/duties of an AG?
    Federal, state, or local?
We don’t need committees to study crap. Everybody knows what’s going on, and by whom it’s being done.
We need them to do their freak’in job for once. Issue a warrant already.
And you would have a lot better chance of conviction by jury in Idaho than you would in DC.

    • A better solution would be to use the power of the pardon.

You are trying to support the abrogation of the right to keep and bear arms? Someone who kills you will be automatically pardoned.

    • You do know that were anyone to bring such a suit in the Ninth Circuit rather than in the DC Circuit we can be assured that THEN Venue would matter, and the Leftists would be consumed by the idea that the Ninth Circuit and especially an Idaho Judge would not have jurisdiction.

It would be the end of “Our Democracy” and Hitler would walk the earth again, even if the action were to save the Union.

      • Valid point.
But what bureaucrat wants to get face first into the pavement, knee in the back-cuffed up, perp walked, and orange jump-suited?
Mug-shot, fingerprinted and held in solitary for a weekend?
Big bailed, or I’m sure they could be held as a “flight risk”, simply because the feds themselves would be the ones wanting to spirit their person away?
It could be a long and painful trip getting to the 9th.
And I’m pretty sure state charges have to work through the state courts first, don’t they?
I know my brother as an Idaho county mounty. Snagged two guy’s that were murders the feds were protecting off the federal “jailbird” plane when it landed in Boise to pick up other prisoners on a pass-through flight.
He just handed the warrants to the federal marshals, and they had to hand the guys over because state charges take precedence over federal. Is the way it was explained to me.
But it’s all just fantasy-land thinking on my part anyway.
No one in power today has the huevos for anything like that, except the communists.

  3. The courts are useless and thus so are civil suits. Congress is useless. That leaves the administration. You will never get convictions of public officials because the courts are useless so make the process the punishment. Cutting off funding has potential too.

  4. Sorry…but this “task force” is a distraction. They will huff and puff and make a lot of noise but accomplish NOTHING. Because the people running things…including Bondi…do NOT actually support the Second Amendment. They just pay lip service to it because they have to.
