CA NON-RESIDENTS CAN APPLY FOR CARRY PERMIT STARTING APRIL 22
For complete instructions on how to apply, you can view the order here.
The requirements are burdensome, but it is a way to legally carry in California. Here are some of the requirements:
- You must identify the make, model and serial number of the handgun(s) you plan to carry in California.
- All guns must be California legal.
- You must complete an approved training course.
- You must pass a live fire test for each gun you plan to carry.
- You must be interviewed.
- The Local Issuing Authority may require a psychological examination.
- You must be fingerprinted.
As said by SAF Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, “It is one more step in our crusade to win firearms freedom one lawsuit at a time.”
It is easier and safer to just never go to CA.
Agreed.
I have a lot of friends and relatives there, so it makes things more “complicated.”
The other option is to avoid blue counties and keep your mouth shut.
There’s no way I’d ever submit to a “psychological examination”.
The problem is you’re the wrong color.
Otherwise, you could just buy a stolen gun in
Seattle. Drive down to CA. And if you get caught with it, it’s a misdemeanor. Under $950.00 dollar gun would probably be a cite and release. If you were muleing drugs at the same time it would probably be out on OR inside 2 hours.
But your white and pro 2A. You would do the full 365. (If you survive genpop.)
And telling the CHP you have a gun in the car just by driving passed a license plate reader at the border is insanity.
Their communists, they make shit up to harass you with.
No thanks.
It’s the “interview” process that will be the kicker…damn few people will successfully “pass” such a thing since it’s totally discretionary.
