The more media depictions veer away from reality, the greater the shock when people experience reality. Firearms instructors all have stories about the “aha!” moments of students who personally experience firearms after only media depictions.
When your belief structure is based on false assumptions, reality tends to bite. This is happening in the old Media. They are operating in a bubble where their false assumptions about reality and their groupthink are starting to intersect with reality. Their audiences don’t want what they are selling. Profits are plummeting. Their preferred solution: Have the government bail them out with subsidies.
One of the most important and misunderstood features of a market based economy is the right to fail. When ventures fail, more competent hands obtain the resources and make adjustments better tuned to reality. Progressive control of the media is failing. Their preferred solution is tyranny. The next election will determine if they succeed.

Progressives lost the national elections. Mainstream media is failing.
One can make the case that progressives have lost. But I think that is premature. There is still life left in them.
Keep pushing reality. As difficult as reality is, it is Kryptonite of the political left. Reality is the diagnosis, and potential cure, of their mental diseases.
One of the major problems with the left is for many of them, they think words define and create reality. If they just say it with enough conviction enough timethat will not only make it so, it will make it so it was always so.
To some extent, words do define reality. One of the ways you see that is in polling where the structure of the question pre-determines the answer. The Left is very good at manipulating definitions and we need to be wary.
Words are the tools we use to think.
The map is not the territory.
No institution of learning that intends to indoctrinate you is going to offer a course in general semantics.
There is a sense in which words *do* define reality.
Not cold, hard, objective, external reality (at least not directly), but they can very strongly affect your internal, mental, perceived reality. Which is the basis that you use to go out and make changes in the real, onjective, physical, world.
Hence, Newspeak.
It would be foolish to deny or ignore this, because there is a lot of power in it and there are people who use it very skillfully.
The good thing is that you can’t un-see what you see.
Communists are good at not looking at your evidence. Or internalizing it. Which is what Yuri explained to us.
But Americans have been raised on self-esteem and feelings.
When the communists insult their feelings or attack their world view of themselves. They start seeing them as enemies.
Feelings, emotions, action-trauma = PTSD-memories. Which don’t go away very easily.
So at this point the left have themselves in a pickle of their own creation. Couple that with losses of funding and legitimacy.
What they have left is the “black clan” (judges and attorneys) to fight a rear- guard action.
And no guns to back up a street revolution.
I would look for the morph. Their only way out is to shape-shift.
But that will require a whole new team of players which they barely have started talking about. Plus a new game plan.
Someone might try to flip the table, as the terrorists and cartel-men from Biden-time are still with us. But that window is closing also.
Maybe just hopium on my part that I will get to die in peace?

Nearly everything they advocate has been attempted, repeatedly, and failed, repeatedly and spectacularly, yet they continue not just advocating for it, but demaning it.
Consequently, I do not see a way out of this that does not involve violence; how much violence, I have no idea, but it will not be zero. The idiological positions of the two sides are not just incompatible, they are completely opposed; when one side expresses the wish for the other side’s complete abolition and death, compromise becomes impossible.
A national divorce has been suggested, but that has been tried once before and found unsatisfactory, not to mention the gift of half of a society they did not earn is not just wrong on every count, it would be a worthless gesture – they believe they deserve to have it all and would not stop until they get it.
I deeply, deeply wish it were not so, but Larry Correia’s Switch, at least from where we are now, appears inevitable.

Perfectly said. The Leftist Progressive neo-Marxist, Frankfurt School (Cultural Marxist) Democrats have this whole fantasy ‘narrative’ that lives in their brains. It is truly their Secular Pagan Religion. Acknowledge any of this, ever, once – and their whole world view is ‘washed away’ – foundation and all. They will never see the ‘light’ and never stop trying to implement their nightmare dystopian utopia on planet earth. Stay frosty.
As long as the “progressive mentality” is allowed to exist progressives will seek to gain and wield power. They NEVER just give up and go away.
