Day before yesterday, while visiting Land’s End I thought I might be looking at a Tardis or two:

The doors were open, so I went inside:

I was disappointed. They are just an old telephone booths.
Land’s End was more interesting:

In the picture below, the red arrow in the upper left points to the sign. The other arrow points to the possible Tardis sighting.

And on a larger scale, you can see Land’s End is the southwestern tip of England:

Going to England is semi-expensive, but how can you afford the translator? Can AI even translate how they talk?
Anyway, Enjoy the “bangers and mash”, Joe!
We all look forward to the AAR.
Hope your enjoying, And not tempted to start swimming home from “Lands end.”
Ah, and the Lizzard, too.
One of the phone boxes could be a Tardis. In the photo you took from inside one orf them, I noticed a Wallace and Gromit sign across the way of The two of them and a sheep, which is a relatively old movie, so there might be some time bending happening there.
Anyway, Enjoy your Vacay!
And if you look on that map, the town of Helston is just to the east of Land’s End. Long, long ago one of my ancestors was mayor.
A clever and innovative telecommunications provider could duplicate the generic British phone booth equipped with a pay-type cell phone * under the brand name “Tardis” and probably make a few bucks. If nothing else, some of us would appreciate a quieter place to use for a few minutes to make calls.**
*Make it look just like – or similar enough to avoid copyright infringement – the Western Electric pay phones the Bell System had, but cellular instead of hard wired; there’s a (slim) possibility they could be solar powered so grid 120 volts wouldn’t be necessary.
** Obviously, most of California would not be suitable for such a project, the “homeless” brigades would instantly set up housekeeping in them
