Shoot them in the Dick

Quote of the Day

In a defensive scenario you never want to go for the face. You always want to go Center Mass or my personal favorite the dick.

If you make it the mistake of trying to rob me oh you freaking dumb ass. Guess what? You’re getting a shot towards a dick.

Reason being the pelvis actually holds up the whole entire body. If you take that out they are now immobile. And, you get to shoot them in the dick more.

Body armor? No problem shoot them in the dick!

Someone’s taller than you? No problem! Shoot them in the dick!

Moral of the story? I’m probably going to shoot you in the dick, honestly.

This is reasonable advice if your attacker does not have a gun of their own. Adjust appropriately for non-males who are an imminent threat to innocent life.

I’m reminded for the woman who committed murder with a shotgun blast to “the pubic region” of a woman. The victim had been talking to the murder’s ex-boyfriend.

This happened in Orofino Idaho where I went to high school.

  1. True story…
Guy I went to high school with drives through a locked gate. Proceeds to kick in some woman’s back door. (I gather that there was a love triangle and, yes, drugs involved) The result? Yep, she shot him in the dick.

  2. Yes, hips are a very good target. Especially if the subject is wearing body armor.
But one must always remember that it does not take someone out of the fight. They might be rolling around on the ground in pain. And still shoot back.
    Situational awareness is key.
As the Brazilian DEA agent said. “I shoot you till you’re on the ground, then I shoot you in the head as I run by.”
Finishing the job is key. And in this legalistic society. Making the story one sided never hurts either.

  4. For self-defense, it’s hard to beat the pelvic girdle. First, if you break the pelvic bone, they can not continue to come towards you. It’s impossible to stand with a broken pelvis. You mechanically cannot hold up the weight.

Second, every bit of blood in the body goes through that narrow span, so there are many significant veins and arteries passing through and branching. The odds of hitting a major vessel and getting a near instant stop from blood pressure loss are higher than anywhere else in the body short of the neck. Hit a major one there, and exsanguination is all but guaranteed if you don’t shoot them inside a hospital trauma ward.

Finally, it is almost never armored, either purpose manufactured or improvised. You rarely even have the problem of thick clothing/coats as a problem.

Mozambique is still the gold standard, but aim those “center mass” shots low, more like belly-button than heart. Also, I understand that any hits there are insanely painful, and (no moral assessment being made here) they are nearly impossible to use a tourniquet to treat.

  5. Nowadays with mass shooters having firepower, meticulous planning and body armor- I’d say that shooting at the dick is a pretty good tactic.

  6. Clint Smith says you have to go by the pelvis on the way to the chest anyway, so why not introduce them to the fight then? Yes, they might be immobile, but their trigger finger still works, so the fight’s not over. It’s a good way to get things started….

    • I believe it is Smith that recommended “stitching” the ar racket with a series of shots, groin to head.

    • First, people fall forward, not backwards like in movies, so they are going to be on their face if you break the pelvic bone. If you are also moving laterally (you are moving, and doing it laterally, right?) then it’s going to be nearly impossible for them to position themselves to get their weapon to bear on you. Just trying to raise themselves up will likely result in blackout pain from the broken pelvis.
