Quote of the day—Henrik Impola

We have a saying in my office. Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Henrik Impola
FBI Special Agent
As told to a confidential informant after the kidnapping suspects were arrested in 2020
FBI’s tactics doomed case against men charged in kidnapping plot of Michigan governor
[It looks to me as if the facts should be used at Henrik’s, and others in that office, trials  It would make a good story. And with convictions it would even have a happy ending.—Joe]

  2. That’s certainly a common sentiment, but to hear it appear on the record from an FBI official is an outrage. Clearly for starters this guy needs to get summarily fired with prejudice. Then there needs to be a very rigorous investigation of that office and the entire chain of command to see how far the rot has spread.

Then again, the best answer would be to enforce the Constitution, i.e., close the FBI.

  3. When Jerry Spence was Randy Weaver’s attorney in the Ruby Ridge trial. He rested Randy’s defense without calling a witness. And closed by say the prosecution/government witnesses had already made his case for him. As truly they had.
And Weaver got paid 3.4 million. I’m sure Randy would have rather just lived and died up on his mountain, with his family, poor. But government will spare no one in its ignorant quest for vanity.
Government attracts the worst of all sorts.
Thus, it has always been. Thus, it will always be.
