Quote of the day—Colion Noir

I started off not being pro-gun. I was largely apathetic, kind of leaning toward anti-gun. It became a fascination for me, from a physics and enthusiasm standpoint. I started getting into more political aspects of it and realized that my ability to protect myself with a firearm is probably one of the most important aspects of things that I do in my life, because the most important thing I have is my life. The ability to depend on myself to protect myself, and the people that I love, to me, is one of the most important things you could possibly have in this world.

  1. ” The ability to depend on myself to protect myself, and the people that I love, to me, is one of the most important things you could possibly have in this world.”

    Yes, rather, some would re-word that slightly, thereby changing its meaning, and the meaning of “protection”, completely altering the context and yet coming closer to the point at hand;

    “The ability to depend on God to protect His people, whom He loves, to me, is one of the most important things you could possibly have in this world.”

    Keeping this same context, I might put it as;

    “The ability to understand reality, having reconnoitered the tactical landscape, as it were, of the Great Controversy of this world, and to communicate that understanding to all who would hear it, to me, is one of the most important things you could possibly have in this world.”

    “A Gun-Owning Citizenry Is a Free Citizenry”
    I don’t know that that’s been scientifically verified as an axiom. Freedom, in this context, or better yet, liberty, starts not in the hand or arm but in the heart and mind. One of the American founders said it pretty well, that this Republic, and its constitution, could only be kept by a moral and religious people. It’s perfectly likely that a heavily armed, demoralized and secularized America could descend into evil and chaos, which I believe it will unless some great paradigm shift occurs. The gun cannot win and maintain liberty if liberty, in its proper context and meaning, is not in the heart of the bearer.

    And so we could all be armed, and even win every physical confrontation, and still fail. Therefore the heart and mind would be the more important battlegrounds, and if so then a very different question arises;
    How “well armed”, as it were, and prepared, are you, are we, to fight on that particular battleground? Do we have our intelligence service giving us regular briefings, if so are we listening, and do we have the training, practice, experience and fitness to fight that fight?

    Be armed, for sure (only a slave is prohibited from the keeping and bearing of arms), but your arms alone can’t change the hearts and minds of people in general. If the majority want to rob you, as they’re doing already through taxation, and restrict your actions, as they’re already doing through legislation, they’ll find a way to make your life more and more insecure, in spite of your arms, unless you submit. The powers-that-should-not-be are not held in awe by the people anymore. They see us as subjects and themselves as rulers, and the people tend to see things the same way, and that’s a problem.

    The people are being demoralized and distracted to the point of being psychologically incapable of identifying, understanding and then overcoming this enemy. This is a psychological, mental, spiritual war, and the enemy is clever and subtle and has a lot of experience. Weapons like guns therefore can, at best, play a secondary or tertiary role, as in various holding actions, but ultimately the war will be won or lost in the heart and mind of the individual. This is as it’s always been. So long as the mindset is all wrong, and the perceptions false, whatever physical powers rest in one’s hands are rather beside the point.

  2. I’m just jealous. I been preaching this stuff for years, and Nosler won’t buy me a buffalo hunt!
    It’s good to see it in liberal news networks. Think certain publications are getting scared of their own stupid? Notice they kept it short. But hey, We made Newsweek folks! Way to go Colion!
