Quote of the day—Wajahat "Wears a Mask Because of a Pandemic" Ali @WajahatAli

You can’t heal or reform the GOP who are now an extremist party. They have to be broken, burned down and rebuilt. When Biden is in power treat them like the active threats to democracy they are. If those who committed crimes aren’t punished then they will be more emboldened.

  1. So, in other words, EVERYONE – willingly or not – are going to have to experience the validity of socialist theories of what matters and how things should be run. Old adages like ‘be the best that you can be’, ‘learn from your mistakes’, along with historical norms of Western Civilization are just old fashioned and even worse they are racist.

    • Verifying what we already know: socialist theories fail to achieve.

Today the Washington Examiner reported that:

“Big cities across the country pride themselves on being “open to all” and claim to be the places of opportunity for those in our society needing it the most. If rhetoric and intent of progressive local officials were currency, those on the lower end of the socioeconomic spectrum in major metro areas would be thriving.

But reality requires us to judge policy by outcome. And in our cities, minority residents fail to achieve the upward mobility found in parts of the country often chided by progressives for their supposed backwardness.”

“The results dispel the assertions that progressive policies, such as guaranteed basic income, commissions to address institutional racism, and overly burdensome labor and environment laws, help minorities prosper. Places where housing prices and taxes are low, the regulatory framework for business is friendly, and government, overall, is more constrained, provide a better shot at upward mobility than their progressive counterparts.”

And I would add that progressives refusal to acknowledge that failure, problems, and difficulties – even if they are ‘unfair’ – are part of life and something to learn from.

  2. Well, he gives as a clear litmus test for the path ahead. Ask someone if they would like live in a democracy, or and republic?
Deport anyone wanting to live in a democracy. As all can see there’s no such thing.
Only an illusion of one used by totalitarians.
Once again, Ali, You’all got the talking parts done. At this point your just being a bore. I mean were down to talking about laser engraving bullets, Ali. Do try and keep up! RL308 anyone?
Hell, even I don’t want to rebuild the republican party.

    • I should add an entry for “Democracy” in the Left-Speak glossary. Something along the lines of,
“‘Democracy’ is in effect, and working, and is a good, wholesome and wonderful thing, expressing as it does the wishes of millions of good people, when socialists, Marxists, communists, fascists, statists, papists, collectivists et al (authoritarians) win elections. The utter, catastrophic failure of ‘Democracy’ happens when said authoritarians lose an election. That is when the evil (non authoritarian, i.e. those who favor liberty) among us assert their will, to which of course they, being enemies, have no right whatsoever. Any attempt, by any means whatsoever necessary, to save the good and proper functioning of ‘Democracy’ is therefore not only justified but imperative for the survival of everything good and righteous and holy. This very planet, and all life, depends on it.

Example; For the sake of Our Children and for the planet, we must ensure the absolute integrity of ‘Democracy'”

Yep; we’ve heard all manner of this kind of reasoning before, long, long ago. It’s the mindset of the political and religious power of the Dark Ages reasserting itself in world politics, this time even in “the land of the free and the home of the brave”, the very heart of Protestant and libertarian thought in the world (or so we believed).

And all this time we thought the left to consist of idiots, wimps, losers, ignoramuses and spoiled children. Speaking of the long game; they’ve pulled off a pretty spectacular feat for a bunch of weak, mind-numbed dolts, haven’t they? They’ve managed to infiltrate, compromise, corrupt, occupy and control every single one of our major political, civic, educational and religious institutions.

Hmm; maybe we’re the mind-numbed dolts, thinking our enemy to consist of mind-numbed dolts only because we’re mind-numbed dolts!

  5. I’ll go biblical here:
“Do into others as you would have done to you.”
Everything else is just added on.

    • The a golden Rule is all well and good, unless you’re a self-loathing masochist with a death wish. See that’s why we also need the Ten Commandments.
