[I’m always perplexed when people insist rights are something granted by the government. I don’t know if I’m just coming across it more or if it really is that I hear this more frequently in the last year or so. In any case it concerns me greatly.—Joe]
It seems natural that people would lose faith in the inalienability of their rights in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Americans’ rights in practice are the result of a byzantine, corrupt, democratic (but I repeat myself) political process.
There’s also the left’s long march through the education system to consider. I doubt public education emphasizes the same set of rights you believe in.
Well, when one tells the World via Marxism for a 150 years that there is No God, and ALL Rights come from the Masses……
