Quote of the day—VISA

We do not believe private companies should serve as moral arbiters. Asking private companies to decide what legal products or services can or cannot be bought and from what store sets a dangerous precedent. Further, it would be an invasion of consumers’ privacy for banks and payment networks to know each of our most personal purchasing habits. Visa is firmly against this.

Visa Warns Merchant Codes Won’t Show Customer Gun Purchases
[It would seem to me that VISA could decisively limit future activities by these anti-gun and other moral busybodies. They could cancel all credit cards owned by the politicians and activists who contributed to this B.S.

It won’t happen, but it’s a pleasant thought.

  1. Smart money. That tells us Visa is looking at the 100 million or better gun owners for business rather than the ideology. And that maybe pissing them off isn’t good?
Gun control is a loser from the start. And only a communist ideologue would think it would work.
The WEF is losing. And Visa hedging their play is a glaring crack in that system. More will start to show in the future.
Like when UPS says no to gun shipments, Fed-Ex gets a big bump in business.
If your a CEO. You watch outfits like CNN and Disney as they bleed-out capital.
ESG is just not good business. And rising interest rates are going to prove it.

Yeah…no. They get a significant portion of their profits by analyzing our purchasing habits and selling that data to 3rd parties. Modern corporations stake a large part of their business on understanding consumer purchases in very high detail, with the ability to narrow advertising down not just to households but individuals in households as a primary strategy.

Anybody at Visa outside the PR department is reading this and having a good laugh.

  3. Words. Hot air and empty platitudes. Visa will do whatever their .gov masters tell them to do. Including tracking all firearm related purchases and passing that info along to them.
