Quote of the Day
It takes a special kind of arrogance to ignore a court order and continue enforcing a law that has been ruled to be unconstitutional, yet here we are. The state is doing nothing more than wasting taxpayer dollars in an attempt to defend a law that has already been successfully challenged on Second Amendment grounds. A court has ruled HB129 violates the rights of citizens in the state, and we fully expect to be successful in our challenge as well.

MOTION FOR PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION FILED IN FIREARMS PURCHASE WAITING PERIOD CASE
There is a word to describe someone with that special kind of arrogance. That word is bigot.
Once more for the slow kids in back: “Rights are not magical; they only go so far as what you can enforce with force or the state is willing to grant you.”
Or, as Andrew Jackson supposedly said WRT the decision in Worcester v. Georgia: “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”
There is a long history of illegal actions by governments across the world…. The only shocking thing about it is that people are shocked by it.
We’d have less of it if it resulted in official’s heads on pikes.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander:
“The Trump administration has faced accusations and judicial findings of noncompliance or defiance across several active federal court cases and orders:
• White House Press Credentials: The White House refused to comply with a temporary restraining order issued by U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly, which required the administration to restore press credentials to journalists from CNN, Politico, and MS Now after they were banned.
• Taxpayer-Funded Ads: U.S. District Judge Jennifer Rochon ordered the cancellation of taxpayer-funded administration advertisements praising President Trump, yet two commercials continued airing past the court’s deadline during national broadcasts like 60 Minutes and ABC World News Tonight.
• East Potomac Park Tree Removal: Judge Ana Reyes issued orders halting the National Park Service from clearing and cutting trees at East Potomac Park for a golf course project after the administration gave short notice and circumvented prior notification requirements.
• Deportation and Immigration Orders: Judges have cited the administration for violating various immigration and deportation directives—including holding or deporting individuals in contrast to judicial stay or release orders—leading to contempt findings by judges such as U.S. District Judge Stephanie Gallagher.
• Noncitizen Voting Door-to-Door Investigations: U.S. District Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin ordered the administration to pause door-to-door investigations and operations by armed federal agents checking for noncitizen voter registration across nine states, which critics and court records note the administration has frequently attempted to bypass or contest through emergency appeals.”
