Still a Sanctuary County

Quote of the Day

It is my intention to assure the residents of Livingston that we are still a Second Amendment sanctuary county, and we will be paying close attention to the bills that will be coming out of Richmond. I will do my absolute best to help protect those citizens and our constitutional values here in Spotsylvania.

Spotsylvania Board of Supervisors message to the state: ‘We are still a Second Amendment sanctuary county’ – Fredericksburg Free Press

With the flurry of gun control laws being enacted in Virginia this is at least a little bit of good news. I don’t think the whole “Second Amendment sanctuary” thing has ever been tested in the legal arena. But at least it is “a spit in their face”.

  1. It’s nullification and that is a good thing. Soft nullification rather than hard. We have heard a lot about nullification lately what with MN and much of it from conservatives has been wrong-headed. What we really need to do is redraw the map so people are in a jurisdiction that fits their philosophy.

  2. Since when do communist with power care about legal-illegal?
If they had the power, they would gun you and your family down on sight.
And laugh about it over pizza and beer later.
If they can only pass a law. They will. Enforcement will come when they have the power to.
    Sanctuary or no.
The one thing we won’t do, but should, is put all and a sundry on notice that enforcement of any kind will be met with manly force.
And no mercy shown. As none ever has been or will be shown to us.
Make the communists put up or shut up.

  4. I’ll say the same as I’ve said with every “Second Amendment Sanctuary”:

Wake me when county sheriffs start arresting and charging state cops for enforcing unconstitutional gun laws.
