Give Them an Inch and They will Take a Mile

Quote of the Day

The inch was seemingly given, so it is not surprising to see pursuit of the mile. Gun ban advocates are emboldened by their perceived victories in firearm production changes, and Ruger is the latest target on a list that won’t end until the firearm prohibition lobby decides what guns are allowed to be sold or courts step in to enforce the law.

Of course, these laws will eventually be overturned, but it is expensive, takes a lot of time, and is a big hassle. In the meantime, we can taunt them with strings, a business card size piece of metal, and other things the ATF has declared are also machine guns.

But, of course, eventually we will have to start prosecuting these criminals before they will stop infringing on our specific enumerated right to keep and bear arms.

  1. Feel free to start your prosecutions with the Trump administration. Palantir’s data aggregation systems will be very effective as a gun registry (thank Elon and the Donald for dumping every government database about the citizenry into Palantir’s hands), particularly once they eliminate cash and force everyone to have a digital ID and use digital currency. It’ll only be a short time after that’s complete that folks they don’t like will be classified as terrorists and told to get in the van.

And the irony is that’s all happening under a *republican* administration. Just wait until the dems get back in power. It’s gonna be super fun happy times.

    • You can always shoot however is telling you to get in the van, you know? There ain’t that many of them to go after all gun-owners.
Either you testosterone F-up, or you don’t. And get what they give you. Bug -proteins and all.
Ain’t nobody getting prosecuted from any administration today, except us low-borns.
Which is pretty much the way it has been for the entirety of human history.

      • It’s a nice thought, but if you successfully shoot the 4 who are trying to get you in the van (they work in teams, remember), they’ll send dozens to your home later and just shoot everyone they find inside claiming you were a terrorist threat. Kinda like when they shoot survivors in the water….

        • Well either way your going to be dead. At least they don’t get to torture you.
You attitude is what got people loaded on to cattle cars in the past.
And like the German said. “If a thousand of you were going to be herded around by 5 men with bolt action rifles? You didn’t value your life, why should we?”
Our forefathers gave us the 2A for a reason.

          • My attitude is “don’t elect fascists and then you won’t have to worry about getting shot in your bed.” And also “don’t elect fascists who will consolidate all information about the citizenry into a panopticon and use it to control you.”

Saw a good quote from, as it turns out, the first fascist Benito Mussolini: “Fascism should be rightly be called corporatism, since it is a merger of government and corporate power.” That certainly checks out with the current administration.

            • Trump, just like Biden, and the 10 presidents before them were all bought and paid for stooges.
You actually thinking a quote from II Duce was just finally put into operation under El Dondo?
Sorry, but the only choices on the last ballot were both political street-walkers.
One a lot skanker than the one we ended up with.
You actually thinking Kamali wouldn’t be giving all that info to the tech bros.?
That’s considering that they didn’t already have it. And just needed a puppet to blame for handing it over.
Think that dip-shit you’all just elected in Seattle is truly running things?
Trump is worth what, 6-7 billion? And Tesla is talking about giving Elon a trillion dollar pay package?
              Trump is egotistic chup-change.
And I can guarantee we are 5 moves behind what is going on, as well as 5 people removed from knowing who is running what.

  2. Like most humans.
“Give them an inch, they think they’re a ruler.”
It still puzzles me why the gun company execs don’t use their power in a more aggressive manner.
What they should say is. A ban on one, is a ban on all. And any state that F’s with one. Gets cut off. No guns, no repairs, no ammo.
The 2A says this, and you will live by it, or do without.

“Of course, these laws will eventually be overturned, but it is expensive, takes a lot of time, and is a big hassle.”
Especially in light of the fact that they should be put in prison for passing them.
