I Never Imagined This

Quote of the Day

Today’s repeal of the Zero Tolerance Policy and the comprehensive review of stabilizing brace regulations and the definition of ‘engaged in the business’ marks a pivotal step toward restoring fairness and clarity in firearms regulation. We are committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure our policies are balanced, constitutional and protective of Americans’ Second Amendment rights.

I’ve been active in the pro-gun owner rights movement for over 30 years. I never imagined I would see such a statement from an ATF Director.

  1. Is anyone tired of winning yet?

OTOH, what “stakeholders” is he referring to? No citizen gun-rights advocates or groups, last anyone checked. (NSSF doesn’t count; it’s an industry/trade group representing manufacturers and retailers, not citizens.)

Start including the CCRKBA, SAF, GOA, even the NRA, and maybe some committed and knowledgeable individuals (I can think of a few) in these discussions, and I’ll start to think you’re really serious about protecting citizens’ 2A rights.

Still, a win is a win.

  2. It’s surreal to see language like this coming from the ATF. I agree it’s a step forward, but the devil will be in the implementation—and who actually gets a seat at the table when they talk about ‘stakeholders.’

  3. Not interested in statements. Only interested in actions. Politicians are very good at stating one thing while doing the opposite. ATF directors included in that group.
