As with many latecomers to the gun control movement, Walz considers his anti-Second Amendment views appropriately constitutional because, well, they help “keep our kids safe.” Lost in his probably cursory study of the historical underpinnings of the Second Amendment, and even as reflected in recent Supreme Court decisions (most notably the 2022 Bruen decision), is the fact that “keeping kids safe” is nowhere to be found even impliedly in any writings by our Founders justifying the Second Amendment (or elsewhere in the Bill of Rights for that matter).
To Walz, as to his gun control colleagues in Washington, including Kamala Harris, “common sense” equates seamlessly to “constitutional.”

I’m not sure I agree with all this. In particular, I have my doubts as to whether Harris and Walz have any concern for the constitutionality of anything they do.

Oh, well, since some murderous commie bitches say it’s “for the children”, that must be why they want gun control. Right?
They wouldn’t lie, would they?

To me, this illustrates the problem perfectly.
Which is Mr. Barr himself.
He blindly refuses to ascribe their true murderous intentions. Buys their talking points, it’s “for the children”. And then goes on to point out that they just haven’t studied the subject enough.
I can assure you Bill, the same two that burned down Minneapolis and bailed out the arsons know exactly what the constitution says about government restrictions on human rights.
And could care less.
And the millions of sub-Saharan tribal warriors those two communists have been importing for the last 4 or more, years are going to care the same amount.
You think they don’t understand the true nature of the Venezuelan crime gangs they’ve turned loose on America?
Bob Barr, like most of America, refuses to believe what’s shown them daily. In no uncertain terms. Empirical proof.
That being the communist elites are going to murder and replace our white cracker-asses.
Like Yuri said, “I could take them to the camps, and they still would not believe.”
Communism is a crime against humanity.
Knee-pads Harris, and Tampon Timmy A-Walz understand that perfectly.
They enjoy the power of doing it.
Try that as their motive Mr. Barr. You’ll live longer.
Indeed, the left doesn’t care about the Constitution. Decades ago, one of the top Democrats in the House said as much:
“There’s nothing in the Constitution that says the Federal government has got anything to do with most of the stuff that we do.” — James Clyburn (D-SC)
Well… since the constitution doesn’t authorize most of what they do, he’s sort of right.
If only the federal government didn’t have anything to do with our lives.
Of course he’s right. The problem is that he said it in a way that amounted to “don’t ask me about the Constitution, we don’t pay any attention to it” as opposed to what someone who takes his oath seriously would have implied, which is “we’re way off the rails here and have a lot of fixing to do”. In other words, Clyburn basically said “sure I’m guilty of perjury — what are you going to do about it, chump?”
