Self-Own Projection

Quote of the Day

You know that the .50 BMG is legal to purchase and own everywhere in the US except California, as long as it was made/imported before May 18th 1986, right?

And yes, if it helps you feel like a man, you can stroke your little carbine cocks all over your property anytime you want.

It’s not only another Markley’s Law Monday, it is another science denier!

Probably the most interesting thing to me in this thread is their projection. This is the same person:

They have a spreadsheet of canned responses. It’s all the same vitriol and name calling every time. They can’t even be original.

Disappointing.

Wow! Just WOW!

  1. We didn’t need to develop AI. These anti-gun people could be replaced with very small shell scripts back in 1995, which is when I think the last original zinger was communicated. I could be wrong; it might have been much earlier.

    • I imagine 1995 was when the last “original” zinger was communicated via a computer network. “Original” in quotes because the zinger in question was probably a decade or two old by then, but it was the first time Al Gore’s fledgling Internet had seen it, so it was “new” and “original” to the platform.

It’s all been re-runs since then.

  2. I wonder what mental gymnastics these idiots would use to explain a transwoman gun rights advocate like Erin Palette?

    • Pick any derogatory word or phrase that the KKK called blacks in the 1960s, or that the Nazis called the Jews in their day (or that Iran and Hamas/Hezbollah call Israel and the Jews today), or that the Soviet government called dissenters in their day, or that the Chinese and N.Korean governments call dissenters today. That’s what they’d call her to hand-wave away her pro-freedom advocacy.
      .
Nevermind that Erin — if she played these games — ranks higher on the “intersectional identity/victimization” charts than most anti-gun people, and so by their own rules she deserves “her truth” to be taken more seriously. “Her truth” only counts if it conforms with “their truth”, and “intersectional identities” be damned.

  3. Man, I haven’t seen that much projection since the last Sundance Film Festival.
