Crime is Up After State Gun Ban—Make the Ban National

Quote of the Day

We’ve banned assault weapons. We’ve banned high-capacity magazines. We’ve banned switches that turn regular guns into automatic weapons and here in Illinois those are things that will keep people safe and alive, but we need a national ban,

Pritzker Pushes For Nationwide Gun Ban While Illinois’ Law Challenged In Courts

Don’t ever let anyone get away with telling you no one wants to take your guns.

From the same article:

Just in Chicago, violent crime has risen 86% over the past two years, and 56% over the past four.

Pritzker is innumerate, evil, or both.

Prepare appropriately.

  1. A corrupt and evil statist who wants to see Citizens rendered into subjects.

  2. Ahh, a working example of the insanity definition. Repeatedly doing the same thing and expecting different results. Seems that this definition also fits the track record of every implementation of Marxism.

  3. Once one removes Chicago, the stats drop to Illinois being a fairly peaceful state anyway.
And if we could have an honest conversation, remove black neighborhoods and Chicago stats would probably drop to exceptable levels.
The problem is no one in government is trying to have an honest conversation or stop violence with guns.
They just want to be the only ones able to commit violence with guns, right?
In this country of 100 million gun owners. Thinking confiscation will end gun violence is ridiculous/insane on it’s face. It will only increase it. (Try to take mine and find out how I know.)
But we are talking communist here, so ya Joe, he’s both. They all are.

  4. They like to blame Indiana for Chicago’s violent crime rate.

But Indiana doesn’t seem to have the same violent crime problem.

This might sound crazy, but maybe it’s not the gun laws causing the violence.

  5. If that guy wants to “stay alive “ he should cut his caloric intake.

  6. “Pritzker is innumerate, evil, or both.”

What does innumeracy have to do with it? Couldn’t he be a Phd. in applied math and evil?

We need to stop looking for mitigating factors with these people; evil is as evil does. Period.

    • I said he could be both.

The numeracy rate in the US is pathetic: https://www.wyliecomm.com/2021/11/whats-the-latest-u-s-numeracy-rate/.

I have pointed out to antigun people that violent crime rates are independent or even inversely correlated to gun ownership rates and this was LITERALLY totally beyond their comprehension and irrelevant to them. Or that private citizens consume ammunition practicing at the same rate the US produced ammo for WWII: https://blog.joehuffman.org/2017/10/25/too-bad-they-dont-understand-numbers/

Numbers are irrelevant to many of them. One child is too many and is justification for banning guns. They cannot understand there are more innoncent lives saved with guns than murdered.

When it comes to numbers, antigun people are the dumbest of the dumb, in a country of numerically dumb people.

      • Yes, you did say he could be both; I contend that whatever level of numeracy he, and his cohorts, may have is irrelevant. Evil is evil.

As for numeracy in general, I figure we’re about 5 years away from automobile speedometers stopping the use of numbers and replacing them with “fast”, “faster”, and “fast enough.”

Which assumes vehicle operators will be able to read, and from what I’ve seen the past few years the masses aren’t doing any better with letters and words than they are with numbers.

We may be about a decade from Quest for Fire becoming a societal documentary.
