Quote of the day—Ethel Mertz @IloveEthal

I’ve been sitting here safely in a Blue state not understanding why my elected officials are still playing nice. I want to see the most strictest gun laws ever; insurance, lockboxes, home visits, 98% tax on ammo, limit on magazines.
If red states can go nuts so can blue

[It is nice of her to admit the motivation for restrictive gun laws is to abuse people rather than to improve public safety. It is too bad for her that won’t play well with the courts.—Joe]

  1. It does seem to demonstrate the idea that:

    “Liberalism is a mental disorder”.

    Jeff B.

  2. I like her next one down. “Nowhere did I say you couldn’t have a gun.”
(She must have grown up in Hillary’s village.)
Sorry Jeff B. This goes way beyond mental illness. It’s in “criminal intent” range at this point.
I know one thing. I wouldn’t waste a bullet to save her when the real commies line her up against the wall.

  3. Is it not more than a mental disorder? I like Kunstler today: Liberalism has become a dishonest racket. Ethel is just repeating the lies based on their dystopian dreams of a perfect world. She sounds like a True Believer and a religious fanatic who will stop an nothing until they get their way even if it means using the sword.

“The truth is that everything the Left stands for these days is some kind of a hustle — which is the cheap street version of a racket, meaning an effort to extract something of value from you dishonestly. It’s the only way they know how to operate. It necessarily and chiefly depends on the deployment of lies, which by definition are propositions at odds with reality. The more they traffic in lies, the further they must distance themselves from reality and try to coerce you to go along with evermore absurdity: mostly peaceful riots… men-with-ovaries… free and fair elections… insurrection… conspiracy theories… Lia Thomas in the fast lane… safe and effective vaccines…. Believe it or else!”

How many ways can we describe what is happening here in Wokedom and will it change any minds? I think the answers are Many and No.

  4. I still say the proper solution of magazine limits is to go belt-fed. “Need” is such an ambiguous term…. I mean, yes, a belt-fed 9mm may have an extremely small niche, but then, I don’t know anyone who needs a Corvette or Maserati, either.

  5. Will her proposal change any of the reasons she is afraid of men?
They are generally bigger, with more musculature, they are more active and aggressive, and are able to impose their will upon her despite her pleas.
Will taking guns from the hands of men change that, assuming even that such an action is even possible? Robbery, rape and murder existed for thousands of years before firearms were even dreamed of. What does she intend to do about that fact?
