These lies have a function that is similar to what was going on with the Soviets – the lie as mockery and insult and sadistic tease. In that regard, obvious lying is a feature, not a bug, and it helps that the lie is absurd. It’s a show of power meant for the opposition to view, a way to say, “we can state any stupidity we want as truth, things both you and I know are ridiculous, and will we say it with a straight face to illustrate the extent of our power over you. We don’t have to pretend to make sense. We’re in control and you’re not. We are laughing at you.”
That’s the point we have reached.

The Biden administration: lying with impunity
[I want to say, “Maybe, but I think there is a better chance that they really believe their own untruths.”

The leaders don’t believe it but lots of the followers do.
It is possible (I’m told) for a person to lie so often, about so many things, that they no longer know where the truth ends and the lies begin.
Or, is it lies at all? Perhaps they sincerely believe one or more false premises, which they do not know to be false, and everything else flows from that.
Truth is hard for people in a lot of ways. Mr. Huffman occasionally points his readers towards this reality.
When Nancy Pelosi said; We have to pass the bill, to know what’s in the bill. On 2500 pages of government largesse.
Does anyone believe she was really that stupid?
When Jen Psaki said; We don’t need to covid test illegals, because their not planning on staying in the country.
Do you think she didn’t know she was lying?
Like Biden, The government can’t,(for obvious reasons), tell the truth. It almost never has. And it’s never going to. The real tell is their comfort level in lying to you. On the Bagdad Bob scale. Their pegging the meter in the red zone.
The truth doesn’t matter to them. Except when we put them on trial.
I’ve often wondered how and why civilizations fall apart. I think it’s because a majority no longer believe the lies.
Their power, money, legitimacy. It’s all a lie. Why should their words be any different?
Like I said. The real tell is their comfort level in lying. But worse is our comfort level in excepting it.
They are all true believers and are reaching the point of conversion via the sword. Just look at COVID and vaccine choice.
Neo is spot on! Not all those involved have to be fully clued in on the lie. Some will believe, others will go along out of self interest, knowing that it’s a lie, and still others will actually convince themselves that it’s truth, again, out of self interest. But a few are proudly, deliberately, blatantly, arrogantly lying just as neo says.
If you think about it just a little bit, the fact that high office holders, and titled professors and so on, are going along as though they believe it, well, that just makes the evil all the more delicious, doesn’t it!?
All together they’ll perpetrate a mass destruction such as the world hasn’t yet seen. And that’s saying a lot!
And that of course leads to the Biblical message, “Come out of Babylon, come out of her my people!” And, “Come out of Babylon, lest you partake of her plagues”.
And surely you haven’t forgotten how those in media marveled at how well Bill Clinton could lie, while they all supported him. It’s a gang of thieves and vipers. Of course they’re going to revel in a rollicking good lie.
The leftists in power aren’t just lying to us with impunity.
They are breaking just about every law imaginable. And
GETTING AWAY WITH IT. The lying is just a SMALL part
of it. They have spent more than half a century infiltrating,
subverting and suborning EVERY mechanism of American
culture, society and government tasked with keeping the country
honest, functional and free. They no longer worry about facing
ANY consequences for their criminality. They have succeeded
in reaching that point where there are NO LEGAL METHODS
left to hold them accountable.
Yup, and their just getting started. The nice thing is in this world of instance comms. Checking the lies, and understanding the narrative makes it easy to spot how far along we are towards actual breakdown.
Just because the CIA couldn’t predict the collapse of the USSR. Doesn’t mean we can see ours coming very clearly.
And when they lie this openly. Were danger close.
The worst, most complete evil is protected by our own incredulity.
If we’re unwilling to believe that anyone can be that evil, they win.
