LIBERTARIANS not so happy with Merrick Garland’s record on civil liberties.

“Which gang of authoritarian douchebags do you want in your face, messing with your life this time around? Both? Oh, you’re so open-minded you get a gold star.”
This is why it’s often difficult to understand the passion with which some people side with one gang of authoritarian douchebags over another.
Open-mindedness would mean at least being able to see that there is an alternative to authoritarianism, that it used to be called “liberty” and that few seem to even know what it means anymore. Actually choosing between authoritarianism or liberty, with an understanding of the difference, is yet another matter.
