I did not know Martin Luther King said that.
Shortly before my cousin’s boyfriend died abruptly of an aneurysm, he talked to my mother and me about his ambition to become a fireman, because the real question is how will one die. He was tremendously impressed by the firemen and policemen at the World Trade Center, and this was his expression of what the willingness to run towards danger meant to him.
