Overheard in bed last night

Paraphrasing just a little…

Joe: So what is the Tea Party protest sign you were talking about with James and Xenia?
Barb: Xenia is going to carry one that says, “Refresh the tree of liberty.”
Joe: That’s a little over the top. I wouldn’t carry one like that.
Barb: It was John’s idea.
Joe: Xenia’s a big girl and can make her own decisions. That she is a young woman and John is in the military helps some.
Barb: I wonder what sign they will make for me.
Joe: Probably it will be something like, “Kill them all and let God sort them out.”

Here is a picture of son James and daughter Xenia at the protest in Olympia Washington today:

  1. HAHAHAHAHA! Damn…. that’s a clever sign. IF you’re not a tyrant, then I guess the sign isn’t meant for you! It’s only scary if you are.

  2. Good on her!

The one thing that people seem to overlook in regards to the original quote is that Thomas Jefferson included the words “from time to time” in it. Now, I shall not speak for TJ, what with his being dead and thus unable to smack me upside the back of my head, but I wonder what people think said tree gets watered with the rest of the time?

  3. Its strange I feel like I know your family. Xenia is the one with the very cool purse where she carry’s a full size 1911 if I am not mistaken. My wife loved that picture. True woman’s liberation. Or as I just heard the quote again “God made man, Samuel Colt made them all equal”.

Thanks for the massive amount of work you do on boomershoot. Wish I could be there.

Sorry this comment is off topic. I feel like Homer Simpson’s dad Abe.
