A Conflict of Visions

Quote of the Day

When a potential enemy starts to counsel you on the tools you should use to oppose him, he does this to his advantage and your detriment. And if he convinces you to disarm yourself, you have enslaved yourself and handed him the key to your chains.

Weapons of war belong *only* in the hands of the citizens of republic, who are themselves the government — and the government may employ what weapons its citizens gives to them, and only for as long as that government remains obedient to the citizens, not the other way around.

You could say that progressives have a different view of things than Mr. Kilmer, the U.S. Constitution, and I do. As Thomas Sowell says, we have A Conflict of Visions.

  1. That’s a very good modern day restatement of 18th century observations on the subject. There are many of those to choose from; here’s one I like:
“…The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.” — Tench Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.

  2. “Conflict of vision”

There vision being the complete and total ban of all guns and the compete and total ban of private gun ownership with the full deployment of the entire United States military and all federal agencies (all who will fully go along with it) to go door to door to confiscate all guns by force and kill every single solitary person in a home with a gun. Their vision is the complete and total literal government mandated extermination of the entire population in a home with a gun. Their vision is to send buses to every school in the United States and to round up and exterminate EVERY child of every gun owner. Their vision is the literal complete and total extermination of the ENTIRE population of the United States age 1 day to 19 years whose parents own guns. There vision is to watch the United stares government deploy nuclear weapons in the deliberate effort to kill the entire population of the United States and every state where the state governments who break from the Union or oppose this. They see a vision of the nuclear extermination of the entire population of Florida and Texas and other red states except those in those think just like them being nukes to death. Cheering while it happens. They see a vision of there ultimate goal and desire: the nationwide total extermination of every single gun owner, every single person in a home with a gun, the total extermination of the entire population of the United States under 18 whose parents own guns. Trump voters, Republicans, conservatives, white people. Where nuclear bombs are used by the hundreds or even thousands to kill all who oppose them including to kill every single solitary person in the United stares that opposes that in every red state. They have a vision of the rounding up and total extermination of literally every single solitary man woman and child that opppses that. The vision of the government mandated extermination of the entire population of the United States via nuclear carpet bombing (except the stares far blue in which they go door to door and round up and exterminate those populations) to the point where all human life in the United States except themselves are dead. They have a vision of nothing short of the total depopulation of all life in the United States except for themselves. To rebuild onto there progressive liberal utopia.

And their vision fills them with orgasmic glee.
