STOP THE SHOOTINGS. STOP REPUBLICANS

Comment to At least 26 dead in South Texas church shooting, officials say
[One has to wonder what color the sky is in this person’s universe. Nearly all mass shooters are either Democrats or have no known political affiliation.

The most likely explanation for the comment is psychological projection.—Joe]

  1. That reminds me of one of my (leftist) elementary school teachers in the 1960s, who argued that there would be no racism if there were no black people. He thought it a perfectly reasonable argument of course, in that he felt comfortable making the case to a whole class.

Saurus does have something of a point– If all the objects of the left’s hatred (advocates of liberty) were eliminated, there’d be no one left to hate. His only error is in failing to realize that the hate doesn’t stop– For Progressive Marxist authoritarians, the killing never stops because the power over others, including the power to kill, is the goal and not a means to a goal. Their rationalizations (helping the poor, saving the planet, et al) are but the false advertizing used to further that end.

  2. I find it notable that the political party which voted on taking all reference of God from their party platform is now preaching to Christians about what Jesus wants and doesn’t want (namely guns) in his house (in church).

If you go to church, take a gun. Jesus said to the apostles, “He that has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one, for it is written ‘He (presumably the Messiah) shall be reckoned among the transgressors’.”

So get a gun, learn to use it well and properly, take it with you, and be reckoned among the transgressors (the way Saurus is reckoning us patriots, us law-abiding, peace-loving advocates of liberty, among the transgressors).

  3. These people do not think, they adopt beliefs and this is merely one of those beliefs. If there was thought involved . . .

But there isn’t and so we get this.

  4. I am reminded of a comic (Wizard of Id) in which the King asks a kid what he wants to be when he grows up. The kid answers “I want to be a brave knight like Sir Rodney.”
The King answers “Make up your mind kid, you can’t have it both ways.”

  5. They do want to stop Republicans…FROM BEING ARMED.

How else can you attempt to assassinate a Republican baseball team, attack a representative in his home, and generally terrorize the conservative speakers in schools and universities, if they are armed and can fight back?

The Leftist elite don’t worry because they have body guards and the dimwit Democrats have been brain washed to reject self defense (besides if they are collateral damage their spilt blood serves as a reason for more gun control).

  7. the solution is obvious and simple, though David Frum would like to keep it obscured:

we need tighter laws to control Democrats.
