They might? No, they will not consider that. People find it very easy to believe what they want to believe.

Just remember, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone always pays.

But please disregard my nitpicking. Just borrow the title of the article and use it as a one liner when people start talking about free healthcare/childcare/money/housing/whatever.
