Quote of the Day
The NFA is 92 years old. GCA68 is 58 years old. This is how long it has taken to significantly beat back some of the provisions of these unconstitutional measures. We now are winning as we have never before, but we must commit to the long haul.
But, it’s still okay to raise a glass in celebration, and to toast the warriors in the area. Take a minute to cheer.
And then dive back into the fight.

This was in regard to the “big, beautiful bill” eliminating the NFA tax followed by the court decision eliminating the registration for silencers, SBR, and SBS. It was twisty path to success with virtually no mention of the 2nd Amendment rather than a big club engraved with “Shall Not Be Infringed.” The Second Amendment shepherds have not taken the most direct path to victory, but they have been making progress. And I’m inclined to trust the experts making progress rather than people with no court victories claiming they know “the one true way.”
I remember not too long after the Heller decision in 2008 when Alan Gura (lead attorney in Heller) told a group of gun bloggers in Reno that we had won a major battle and would have greater success down the road. But we should not think victory would come quickly. He predicted we would still be litigating 2nd Amendment cases in twenty years. I have no doubt that his prophecy will be correct.
This was just another brick in the wall, and we have a lot more wall to build.
