Another Legal Victory

The vampire rule was struck down by SCOTUS today. The FPC announced it with this:

I like the Firearms Policy Coalition. They get things done in the courts and they are extremely entertaining.

And for the DOJ take on the case:

  1. Still waiting for an outright prohibition on private property owners violating individual civil rights. This was OK when the Civil Rights Act was passed except somehow the 2A has always been a second class right. Not to mention the 10,000,000 other things government does that can be construed to violate property rights. Anyone who whines about property rights and does not oppose all the other stuff is just against self-defense.

    • Actually, that might be a violation of the Third Amendment, unless it specifically excluded government personnel.

  2. The Bill of Rights doesn’t protect us from private citizens.
It’s purpose is to protect us from Government.
Many of the problems were facing today (not all) seem to stem from the Civil Rights Act being passed and giving government the right to interfere with private property (businesses, ect).
In the end it’s all a question of, “Who owns YOU?” and by extension, your property.

  3. It looks like KBJs dissent managed to make the pro-gun side’s case for them very clearly. She knows how the Bruen test SHOULD be applied, but she doesn’t’ like it, so she’s trying to ignore it. Her dissent managed to so clearly state the correct way to interpret gun laws that she’s likely to be quoted often in future pro-gun cases. Major own-goal for the lefties.

She either doesn’t understand how precedent and Con-Law is supposed to work, or just doesn’t care and would rather just make [stuff] up on the fly for feels.
