While there’s certainly always a place for civil disobedience, I think “just don’t comply” and boating accident jokes are not a real solution to the expansion of authoritarian gun control laws.
Hard truth: They don’t care if you don’t comply. Either you’ll get caught breaking the law and charged, or, your defiance will be driven underground and unseen, and they will win the culture in the meantime. Your grandkids will find your gun stash after you die and turn it in.
By making more and more stuff illegal or more expensive, they also choke off any new converts (this is also why the antigun groups are obsessed with pressuring YouTube and others to censor).
You can’t just ignore them, because they will not ignore you.

There is a lot of truth to that.
Also note that they aren’t going to play to your strengths. They are not going to “go door to door”. They will increase costs through licenses, delays, taxes, lawsuits, zoning, debanking, fines, inspections, fingerprinting, background checks, “sensitive places”, “red flag laws”, “child endangerment”, “safe storage” requirements, semi-auto bans, magazine capacity limits, caliber restrictions, self-manufacturing bans, ammo quantity purchasing limits, age limits, etc.
We need to fight with our strengths. Take new people to range. Donate money to gun groups that win in the courts (I donate thousands each year to the Second Amendment Foundation and Firearms Policy Coalition). Leave comments on anti-gun media articles.
Most importantly, be a good public representative of gun ownership.

Of late there has been a bunch of stupid crap in conservative publications deploring the nullification in MN and comparing it to Calhoun and Wallace. In truth, it was Jefferson and Madison (who knew a thing or two about the Constitution) that invented the concept of nullification in the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions nullifying the Alien and Sedition Acts. They also ignore the existence of 2A sanctuary jurisdictions which is more to the point in this blog. I see that Comer is drafting legislation to crack down on sanctuary states/cities. It doesn’t take a genius to see that this can be repurposed to attack the 2A. Sadly, we can’t really depend on the states any more. Not only were the neutered by Lincoln but if not completely dominated by a big city, like MN, are paralyzed by one or more, like TX, from doing anything large.

They can’t leave us alone.
Their culture is based on destruction of systems. Not in building or running them.
Every communist leader that ever spoke, speaks of taking over the world and then having paradise on earth.
They produce nothing and can only steal from others by nature.
So how logically can they leave you alone? They won’t starve to death quietly.
It’s impossible for them.
We have to get comfortable with that idea. And stand ready to combat it.
There’s literature about making primers. I’d assume it’s also possible to find how to make powder (smokeless, not black). Add those two to a conventional reloading setup and you’re no longer dependent on ammo purchases.
No, I haven’t done this. But it seems like it should be doable.
The simple ugly fact is the communist left will continue to chip away at freedom EVERY CHANCE they get for as long as they are allowed to exist. They will NEVER give up, go away, quit or surrender. The ONLY thing that will stop them is their complete eradication. Sucks but that is the ugly reality we live in.

RE: Complete eradication; probably does not have to be complete but will have to be extremely substantial and sufficiently brutal to provide a multi-generational long-history reminder of what not to do, or allow, and that reminder will have to be taken to heart on both sides.
The Left does not build, even though they believe, and claim, they do; “change” is their watchword, but that change is always, inevitably, without exception, negative – meaning, in every sense of the word, destructive to human living, economic and social conditions.
It is bad enough that we tolerate it (although it was, and is, “us” who allowed our societal organization structures to deteriorate sufficiently to permit not only the existence of Leftism but encouragement of it by altering schools, social policy, and criminal systems to “accommodate a different viewpoint.”) Simply to have said “no, that does not work, it has never worked, we’re not doing it and we will punish anyone who persists in trying to implement it” and backing that up with action, would, sixty plus years ago, have prevented us being where we are today.
As for “separation,” to reward their inherent destructiveness by gifting them half of what we built – we and our ancestors – would be spitting in the face of every generation of Americans.
And, whatever we gifted them would, in short order, exactly resemble their present collapsed infrastructure and social order and they would never, ever stop demanding all of it, not just the half we gifted them.
It is with tremendous relucatnce that I am forced to admit that the day of “please” has passed and that we are, inevitably, at “absolutely not” and must back that up with decisive and forceful action.
We should not have at all, but we did, backstep more than far enough. It must end here. Must.

You and I both know that you or anyone else aren’t going produce a beat down that will have a multi generational effect. I, at least, know the effect will be negative if by some remote chance the Right manages to do it. See N. Ireland. Further, Moses didn’t bring the map of the US down from Mt. Sinai. It is not even remotely the same map the Founders had when they wrote the Constitution. I have stopped pretending that NYC, LA etc are remotely under our control or ever will be.
