Why We Fight Them Tooth and Nail

Quote of the Day

Nothing outside of a pure ban will satisfy gun banners.

Everything is a red herrings—rate of fire, length of barrel, color, magazine capacity, size of bullet, how loud or quiet it is, everything.

The problem is they are stuck on deodands and the object must be sacrificed for its evilness.

They never focus on the shooter. They never focus on the murderer. It’s always the guns’ fault, never the person using it.

And when they feel they’ve sated themselves on removing one tool, they’ll focus on anything else that could be used as a weapon—knives, clubs, saps, pepper spray, anything.

They do this because their first principle is flawed and they either refuse to see it or are intellectually incapable of doing so.

This is why we fight them tooth and nail, because given their druthers, they’ll ban both of those too.

Truth.

You can see the evidence in England where they have banned pointy knives and carrying a knife in public without an occupational reason. Canada bans the defensive carry of knives as well. Seattle bans the carrying of air-soft guns and even slingshots.

    • I don’t agree.

People who advocate secession generally see it as brave and politically edgy, mainly because of its association with the Confederate States of America.

But in reality, it amounts to running away from bullies, leaving our fellow gun owners and liberty lovers stranded behind the lines.

What is needed is to crush the Left throughout our great nation.

      • Separation…..partition….whatever it’s called, it’s not just abdication, it’s surrender.

Why would, or should, we agree to give any part of our country away, as a present to the people who did not build it, do not defend it, and refuse to support it? They did not earn it. We did, and do, with our money, our time, our blood and our lives.

The correct answer is not to capitulate but to demand – and enforce as necessary – compliance with the enumerated principles of freedom and liberty upon which this country was founded and is supposed to be operating, the same principles that allow their beliefs, however misguided and disoriented they may be in the face of reality.

If they judge it impossible to co-exist with us under the Constitution of the United States of America there are 194 other countries on this planet, many of which already subscribe to their social and political beliefs. I’d wager many of us would willingly contribute to a Go Fund Me to pay their way.

But give it, any part of it, to them? Absolutely not.

      • I’m with Francisco on this one. They only control a small portion of our landmass.
And most of what they hold doesn’t produce anything other than human misery.

“What is needed is to crush the Left throughout our great nation.”
That’s the spirit. Cause they fully intend to crush and enslave us if we don’t.

  1. It will never be enough. They are mentally ill and suffer from flawed decision making. Give an inch? You know the rest. We are so polite that we hinder ourselves. I believe in taking the high road but sometimes feel that we need to fight them at their level. Evil must be confronted.

  3. At this point it is far too late to be able to take back the liberties that have been stolen in the collectivist/statist/authoritarian enclaves of the “Blue” cities, or to expect that their outlying areas will rebel. As an economic and political refugee from the Soviet Socialist State of Minnesota I can assure you that the Dem-wing has completely solid control of the Twin Cities, Duluth, and Rochester, the surrounding areas of which are the hub of the economy in the state. That economy is dominated by government spending.

Ever since the passage of the so-called “Civil Rights Act”, which utterly destroyed free association of people, along with the passage of Johnson’s “Great Society” bills, this country has grown its own barbarians within itself. Remember Johnson’s words about it…”That’ll keep the niggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years.” Turns out that it’s not a race issue, but one of the distinction between producers and parasites. Almost literally EVERYONE living there knew all about the now-exposed-nationally Somali scams; those are merely the tip of the iceberg of the collusion between state entities and purportedly “non-governmental” organizations.

Add in the cold, hard fact that most parents are completely content to turn their children over to the tender mercies of the government indoctrination and brainwashing centers (aka, “public schools”) it is no surprise that a majority of young people think that socialism is better than even the semi-capitalism we currently have. Since they’ve never in their lives been exposed to concepts like “free markets and free minds” this shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone. The socialists took over the pedagogical systems long ago; see John Dewey’s comments back in early 1900’s about government schools needing to exist in order to create a class of compliant workers for the socialist machine. The resulting “educational” system, from K-12 right out to graduate school is a collectivist pile of garbage. I’ve said before that anyone who puts their child in a government school is, de facto, guilty of child abuse.

The inner core of the Dem-wing controlled cities no longer produce anything other than parasites…in my former home you can count on your fingers the number of productive companies within the inner circle of the freeway ring-roads (I-494 and I-694). The only problem is that these hellholes will drag down the rest of the state with their economic illiteracy; the only hope is that they self-destruct before that happens. And we, the productive, will once again be expected to bail them out of the hole of their own digging.

    • Turns out that it’s not a race issue, but one of the distinction between producers and parasites.

      ^^ THIS ^^

It’s NEVER been about race. Or sex, or gender identity, or sexual preference, or ethnicity, or primary language, or disability, or any of the other “intersectional identity” crap the Left has been throwing for the past several decades.

It’s not even a “Right vs. Left” issue.

It’s ALWAYS been about the productive vs. the non-productive, or the self-reliant vs. the dependent.

Or put another way, freedom vs. slavery.

  4. You can see the evidence in England where they have banned pointy knives and carrying a knife in public without an occupational reason.

I read of a case in which a construction worker carrying a utility knife (i.e. a box cutter) was fined for carrying it, but allowed to keep it because of his occupation. The next day, IIRC, the constables came back to the site and fined him again for carrying it, but still allowed him to keep it.

So it seems that an occupational reason only prevents authorities from confiscating otherwise-banned items; they’re still illegal enough to be fined for carrying them.

(Also, it’s funny how that can happen when the law creates a financial incentive AND the authorities know where the “banned” items are and who has them.)

  5. There you and the other gun nut idiots go again with your silly assumptions. No, the shooter is the problem, we just notice how the majority of the gun nut shooters tend to be Christian, white, ir republican.

Now, I am sure you will “what about” until the cows come home, because you are incapable of an actual intellectual debate between individuals. To your ilk, those who yell loudest win the argument.

It truly shows the pathetic man babies you are just like your dear orange leader. Good luck with yourselves, you will seriously need it.
