Another Step Closer to Prosecution of Criminal Judges

Quote of the Day

Nobody is above the law. This Department will not tolerate obstruction, will enforce federal immigration law, and will hold criminals to account—even those who wear robes.

Wisconsin judge convicted of obstructing immigration agents in courthouse

It is good to have a demonstration that at least state judges with be prosecuted for violating Federal law. We still have some distance to go in moving the Overton Window far enough to prosecute them for violating the 2nd Amendment. But this will help make the threat of prosecution, in a year or five, more real.

I hope they enjoy their trials.

  1. This particular case was extremely blatant and egregious in that she PHYSICALLY assisted the illegal in running from the ICE officers, who had been waiting OUTSIDE of her courtroom. Even with all of the eyewitness testimony and the security camera video confirming every allegation in the two charges, a Wisconsin jury would only convict her on one of the two.

And even now other judges are saying that they will prevent law enforcement officers from enforcing the law within their own courtrooms, utterly ignoring one of the major facts of the case, which was that the ICE officers were not IN the courtroom. Every single one of these judges should be recalled/impeached (whatever is done for each one) based on the fact that they cannot correctly interpret the facts of a case.

I’m hoping that she gets the maximum penalty for her malfeasance in office (5 years and $250,000 fine) but I’m guessing that the judge in the case will offer her a hand-slap, and tell her, “Naughty, naughty…don’t ever get caught again.”
