The Police Will Protect You

Quote of the Day

Twenty minutes, there was four policemen there. Nobody give fire back. Nothing. Like they froze. I don’t understand why.

Bondi Beach terror survivor describes how cops ‘froze’ during 20-minute shooting rampage | New York Post

Why do you need a gun? The police are there to protect you.

Oh. Yeah. This is why.

  1. I don’t know whether Australia has the active shooter protocol that we have here but if they do, those officers violated their training much as the notorious Uvalde cops did. I will note that two officers were among the dead so perhaps those did respond properly. However, even if the protocol is executed properly, average police response time is 6 minutes from the first 911 call. With ubiquitous cell phones, the calls come quicker than they used to but it still takes people some time to figure out what is going on. I don’t have any first hand knowledge of what the cops did at Bondi but there is no substitute for an armed citizenry because they will be right there when something bad happens to them. Australia, of course, has an official policy against this.

  2. Australia (and the rest of the West) doesn’t need more gun control – it needs Islam control.

    • That only covers a subset of terrorists, though. The real solution is Constitutional Carry. In their case, that first requires them to have a Constitution.

  3. And from the platitudes of MTHead we find this.
“The only thing that works against the element of surprise. Is the element of surprise.”
Imagine how surprised the one attacker would have been if the guy that disarmed him had just instead shot him in the back of the head?
On second thought, I guess he wouldn’t have had time to be surprised.
Which is only ++ in that circumstance.

And right on que, and to the surprise of no one, the moron politician calls for more gun control.
And as for the police? They’re just there for the pension. And to protect and serve it. Not you.

    • Protect and serve is code for “arrive later, take names and pictures and refer it to the dectives.”

      • “Refer it to the detectives”
Who promptly find some way to memory hole the whole sorted affair.
        Ya, boss, were on it.
        Hey Bob, pass the donuts.

  4. A combination of cowardice, a reluctance to do ANYTHING without approval from superiors and the unspoken wishes of the political class to NOT interfere with the violent expressions of the camel humpers.

  5. A common feature of likely false flag ops appears to be “the cops show up and ‘freeze’ other than to prevent anyone else from doing anything while the perp drops more bodies.”

Yeah, obviously “guns are the problem.”

  6. What goes around, comes around. Invite Muslims in, then be surprised when they act like Muslims. Use the police to suppress the innocent and protect the guilty, then be surprised when the police suppress the victims and protect the attackers.
