While a lot of reports have done good work documenting the Antifa and leftist protests that attempted to shut down a Turning Point USA event on the campus of UCLA at Berkeley earlier this week (here, here, and here), I want to highlight one fundamental and truly ugly aspect of these protests that I think we no longer see because it has become so common.
While it is clear these leftist protesters have nothing positive to propose, it is their hate and anger that stands out above all. All they can do is vent hate, pure and simple.

Surely everyone has gotten frustrated and/or angry and threw or struck something and broke it, right? It is an easy thing to do.
The difficult thing to do is the design, build, and maintain something of value. In minutes an arsonist can destroy a building which took months or years to design. A valuable painting created by a master such as da Vinci, Michelangelo, or Raphael took months or years and “climate change activists vandals” thrown paint on it and think they have accomplished something.
By the time they have made it past the toddler stage of development most people realize that willful destruction of life and/or valuable property is seldom a good use of your time. But those that advocate for and participate in riots are a special type of socially retarded.
One has to wonder, this willful destruction is far more common from the political left, so is bell curve for this social retardation shifted compared to other political persuasions? Or is the mean the same and the standard deviation greater such that there end up with more people in the tail of the bell curve willing to participate in anti-social behavior?
The solutions to reducing this behavior might vary depending on the answer to those questions.
I would make a guess that the Left, with its focus on feelings is more attractive to the toddler mindset and its appetite for destruction. Most conservatives are more logic driven and only a small group at the extreme thinks destruction is a solution.
Even in the wilds of Idaho or Southern Oregon it’s easier to find a spotted owl than a Nazi these days. On the other hand every street corner in Portland and Eugene has its own Antifa chapter eager to break stuff.
I also think that overly permissive parenting has resulted in more adult aged people with stunted emotional growth. So we have an increased supply of 25 year old toddlers, and an increased demand for Blackshirts hence Berkeley, Portland, Seattle etc.
That sounds reasonable.
This hypothesis asserts the mean has shifted and says little about the standard deviation.
To me, the main point is about human nature.
Like Joe Crow points out. We are taught not to do those things. Sometimes through violence as in getting whoop’in for being bad.
Later in life we observe the concept as the better way to live life.
But that growth process was short circuited in the left. It was done on purpose with evil intent. And it’s just the reality of dealing with the younger generation.
And Matt Bracken tells us the answer. “No sense in bailing out the boat. Til after you stop those drilling holes in the bottom.”
We have allowed the communist to retard our children. Through bad food, bad medicine, and evil indoctrination.
The bell curve has been biased. As anitfa is only small portion of the population. All be it a loud and rude one.
And given free rein by communist politicians.
Street thugs aren’t the problem. Those that create and maintain them are.
Just as they say the black and brown people are out breeding whites.
But only because someone is stealing from whites and giving their substance to black and brown people.
Stop feeding the beast, and it will go away. Or get destroyed for continuing it’s bad behavior.
We will always get the society we are willing to tolerate. Bad or good.
As for the TPUSA kerfluffle. My family has property in California I would love to live on.
But I’m a Christian, and California is satanicly held communist territory.
You don’t go into snake pits thinking you can reason with the snakes.

For decades Conservatives have wondered how these things can be happening. Why do so many Dems like to cause pain, suffering and death? Here is the explanation.
For 100,000 years people lived in small tribes of about 40 people each. Over the next hill was another tribe, and they were going to come over the hill and kill your guys and take your stuff.
You needed guys in your tribe who wanted to go kill them first – guys who liked to cause pain, suffering and death. They were essential to the survival of your tribe. If you didn’t have them, your tribe was going to be eliminated.
Then about 10,000 years ago, people learned agriculture and started building big towns and cities. Over the next hill, there was no other tribe — just more of your own people. You still had the segment of society that wanted to cause pain, suffering, and death. But they didn’t fit in any more. They were no longer essential to survival — they now were dangerous to the survival of your people. Today we call them “psychopaths”, but for 100,000 years they were essential.
In many cases, this characteristic is genetic, aka “nature” in “nature vs. nurture”. It came into being for survival over millions of years, from apes, to neanderthals, and so on. But it can also be “nurture”. Even today there are cultures that teach everyone to kill people.
The Bible teaches us to love they neighbor, and to do unto others as you would have others do unto you. But the Bible couldn’t tell us everything outlined above because the Bible didn’t know the word “genetic”.
Once you know this — everything makes sense. Now it makes sense why Dems want to make sure that, if anybody wants to walk into a school and shoot the kids, there will be no one in the school armed and ready to defend the kids. Now it makes sense why Dems want to surgically mutilate kids.
When too many of these psychopaths get into government, you get a murderous dictatorship. That’s what the Dems are pushing for right now.
Fixing it will take decades. We have to get God back into the schools. We have to teach the kids that some of them are going to be like this – are going to grow up to want to cause pain, suffering, and death – and we need to teach them to use that part of themselves to defend their nation, not to harm their fellow Americans. There’s a word for this… “noble.” We need to teach them to be “noble”
The left do the things they do for a simple reason. Because they work.
And as long as those things continue to work they will continue to do them.
