Damage Caused by an AR-15 Chambered in 22 LR

Quote of the Day

If there were a gun show loophole and an AR-15 chambered in 22 LR capable of doing this that could be pulled though the loophole into reality, then it would have a high-powered rail gun projectile velocity booster with a nuclear power plant for the power source. And even then, the projectile would be vaporized at anything more than a range of a few yards. Still, a lead oxide cloud at some small fraction of c might make for an interesting variation of a shotgun.

  1. The reason it causes so much damage is because AR pattern rifles have “the thing that goes up” and bayonet lugs, and they’re black and scary looking. Yet another confirmation that universal suffrage was an incredibly mush headed idea that will eventually destroy our republic.

    • Don’t forget the pistol grip and the carry handle. Those make AR-pattern rifles triple-plus super-ungood-deadly.

  2. He forgot the “without a background check” part. 😀

If that’s what an AR-15 in 22LR can do, imagine one in 223.

I mean, 223 (two hundred twenty-three) is WAY more than 22!

But 5.56 is not as big, so not as dangerous or destructive, right? 😀

  3. NO!!1!!

THIS IS PART OF THE DRUMPF PLANN TO ENSLAVE ALL OF AMERIKKA!!1
    /s (if’n uou couldn’t figure that out…)

  4. What’s the rule that says sarcasm is indistinguishable from naive and ingnorant Credulity? I followed the link and PNWConservative claims it was satire and sarcasm.
If that is so, and I have no reason to doubt his defense, this is an excellent example
of SARCHASM, the great gulf between a practitioner of sarcasm and his or her readers.

  5. I think the point here is not just about how ridiculous the idea is, but also how easily misconceptions about firearms can be spread, especially on social media. While humor makes a great vehicle for this argument, it also highlights the importance of understanding what we’re actually talking about when discussing gun laws and safety.

  6. So can it still cause lungs to evaporate after it blows up the tree trunk, or does the tree take away the bullet’s momentum?

  7. Where can I get one of these AR-15’s chambered in 22LR? I think it would be kinda cool.. not to mention how much it would freak out the game warden next time I go squirrel hunting..
