That Must be the Reason

Infidels could not have overpowered their country without invoking supernatural powers.

Iranian official claims Israel used ‘the occult and supernatural spirits’ during 12-day war

What other reason could there be?

    • If the philosophy and law were good enough for Muhammad, then it will be utopia for the rest of the world.

  1. But wait a minute… I thought they kicked ass and took names, and that Israel, having lost two thirds of Tel Aviv, was about to collapse?

Amazing how those cowardly Jews seem to make Allah’s heroic servants run to mommy like little bitches.

  2. Can’t internalize that they might be at fault.

That mentality reminds me of a group of people. Several, in point of fact.

  3. A variation on the Dunning-Kruger effect. They are so stupid and incompetent they don’t realize that they are STUPID AND INCOMPETENT. We see that here with most of the (D) party.

    • I don’t think it’s quite the same thing. It’s more like the usual behavior of totalitarian governments, which need to create the appearance of success among their subjects. When that appearance starts to fail, such governments are likely to collapse.
The collapse of the USSR is a case in point, and the details are nicely analyzed (or more accurately, nicely predicted) in Emmanuel Todd’s “The Final Fall”.

  4. … if I remember correctly, the Islamic fundamentalist explanation for a lot of technology is that it is a form of djinn.

So, using computers and satellites would be occult and supernatural spirits.

But suppose the mullahs are taken seriously. The man on the street of Tehran is supposed to go “oh, that makes sense” rather than “hold the F up… they can do that? And whatever it is you do, it is ineffective to stop that?”

Suppose we had (another) military debacle, and the ultimate explanation was “enemy had blah blah blah gravitically enhanced ionic hydrogen fusion blah blah blah hyperdimensionally tunneled plasma cannon blah blah blah our brave servicemembers blah blah blah core values blah blah blah”, we’d go “back up… gravitic WHAT?”

  5. “used occult and supernatural” sounds like another way of saying “we lost because God was on their side”.
Habib Six-Pack may buy that but the educated folk are probably embarrassed to admit they are Iranian and also smart enough to not admit it in public.

    • I think you will find after some losses following the death of Muhammad, the clerics said the same thing. Allah doesn’t think we are pious enough. That legitimized a crack down on anyone thought to be a heretic.

I would expect the same thing to happen in modern Iran

  6. It’s all BS politics. Islam is satan’s political system. And saying it’s witchcraft is just ginning up the base of fanatics.
That being said. I see no difference in them and those in this country claiming men can be women and vice versa.
Or that a hurricane is man-made climate change. CO2 is poison. Evolution by natural selection. And a dozen other narratives that are being run down on us right now.
We have the same fanatics here.
    Micheal Yon is spot on;
“The only cult you don’t see is the one your in.”
    I should know. I’m a Christian fanatic.
