Communism has a very powerful appeal to human’s evil fallen nature.
It satisfies (albeit temporarily) greed, lust, covetousness and a host of other deadly sins. (And not that capitalism or a gaggle of other systems won’t get you there also.)
Communism is just the modern name for the tyranny that has ruled human behavior since Adam bit the apple.
It’s part of our nature, but a curse we choose, and since most are followers and not leaders. We get republicans.
Power is a magnetism few can resist. And none can control well.
Communism is the art of lying to followers about power. And who gets to control it.
But it’s the same crime against humanity it ever was. And always ends in human travesty.
Think there is a reason they don’t teach about this phenomenon in school?
The admonition about the “lesser of two evils” is intended to only apply when all options are bad ones. There’s no reason to choose the “lesser of two evils” when there are good choices available.
The “lesser of two evils”, after all, is still evil. Republican pols to this day have yet to learn this.
