  1. Don’t hold your breath about suppressors….the GOP are past masters at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Odds are real good they will fail us and suppressors remain an NFA/taxed item.

  2. Many people don’t realize that what is in the reconciliation bill isn’t the HPA – it won’t take suppressors off the NFA; what it does it zero the tax stamp without changing the paperwork.
I’d love to see the HPA pass (or get rid off the entire NFA) but I’d be surprised to see it get through.
I saw an article recently that claimed the only reason to use a suppressor was to conceal shooting…

    • I was under the impression that the HPA would make them a general firearm that required a standard background check?
But no fingerprints/tax stamp/long wait for approval.
I heard something like what you are talking about was floated as a compromise?
Neither is perfect, but a baby step in the right direction is a step in right direction.

      • The HPA will… if it passes, which is far from certain.
I think making it part of a bigger bill is more likely to pass than a stand alone bill that the Dems can more easily vilify.

  3. Through in the SHORT act and we will at least be cooking with gas.
Congress needs to understand that if we get pissed off enough.
They won’t hear it coming anyway.
