I received the following text message exchange regarding the election in Pennsylvania. One person lives in Idaho. The other is in Pennsylvania. Make what you will of it.

Latest poll shows Harris up +0.2 which means it’s even. The Dems will pull out all stops and cheat their way to victory. The repubs have to cheat also to overcome the Dems cheating

I worked the 2020 election and every morning the election commission staff would come to work with fists filled with ballots. Old ladies in the neighborhood they would say. Fair enough except it was illegal
Multiply that by how many precincts? We’re fucked.

  1. I always enjoy the anecdotal reports of voter fraud, what with even the republican leadership and the republican courts all saying it’s not a thing. But by all means, let’s keep stirring that pot….

    We now have more conservative judges on the bench than at any time in history, many of them appointed by Trump. And yet somehow, even with that predisposition, they’ve been unable to find this “widespread fraud” the far right keeps talking about. If it’s there, you’ve got the judges, just bring the case! Winner winner chicken dinner!

    Broken elections are the Big Lie. Or one of them, anyway.

    • It’s not voter fraud, it’s election fraud and the perps are the election officials.

      Republican =/ conservative much less populist.

      • Ok, “election fraud.” Still no evidence it exists. None. Zip. Zero. And that’s even *before* we get to the “extraordinary assertions require extraordinary evidence” part of the show.

  2. Bill Clinton once said, “If you see a turtle on top of a fence post you can be sure it didn’t get there by itself.”
    Seems to me that the same principle applies to the 2020 election. If you can look at all the changes and shenanigans that occurred, and still think all’s-well…..

    • I note that you use the word “shenanigans” rather than “prosecutable criminal activity.” Presumably because the latter didn’t occur….
