Uh Oh!

These are not good signs.

US Nuclear Sub, Carrier Strike Group Gets New Orders as All-Out War Appears Imminent

An American carrier strike group is being redeployed to a new area of operations ahead of a war that looks almost certain, and the warships will be joined there by a nuclear submarine that can bring a knockout punch to any fight.

These powerful naval assets are being moved to the military’s Central Command area, which covers the Middle East and much of central Asia. The number one command priority of the force is to “deter Iran.”

“Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant today,” a release from Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder reads. “Secretary Austin reiterated the United States’ commitment to take every possible step to defend Israel and noted the strengthening of U.S. military force posture and capabilities throughout the Middle East in light of escalating regional tensions.

“Reinforcing this commitment, Secretary Austin has ordered the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN Carrier Strike Group, equipped with F-35C fighters, to accelerate its transit to the Central Command area of responsibility, adding to the capabilities already provided by the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT Carrier Strike Group.

“Additionally, the Secretary has ordered the USS Georgia (SSGN 729) guided missile submarine to the Central Command region.”

The USS Abraham Lincoln strike group is being pulled from the Pacific region.

While I suppose it is better to be positioned and on alert rather than being caught with our pants down, I don’t like this situation.

I wish I could be in an underground bunker in Idaho for the next month.

  1. The ruling parties/people know that the election isn’t looking good for them. The economy is in tatters, inflation is raging, “their side” in the Ukraine and Israel conflicts are not doing well, we are borrowing a trillion dollars every 100 days or so, everything Woke is turning to shit before our very eyes (cough Olympics cough), and worst of all a lot of people are noticing it. They know if they don’t get a major distraction going on they will lose the election by a margin wider than the margin of fraud in too many states.

The Standard Distraction, wag-the-dog style, is a war. Two carrier groups and a sub (that they are telling us about) should do nicely. Ideally (from their perspective), we’ll lose a couple of them, as that would make a grand rallying cry and distraction for the media to focus all those short-attention-span types on. (did you notice the assassination attempt is already out of the news?) On top of that, it means more Mil-Ind-Complex spending to replace all the missiles and things expended, so, yeah, total win-win for the pols who only think about optics, and not one whit about lives (other than their own).

  2. Better that than deploying toward Russia. Persians aren’t going to nuke Seattle but Russians might hit the boomer base about 20 miles upwind. Lots of underground storage there which means ground bursts.

  3. Clickbait headlines from the MSM for sheeple who know nothing about military operations. It was SOP during the Cold War and is still common practice for at least one attack submarine to work with every carrier task force. Our attack submarines are our best assets to eliminate enemy submarines

    • Yes,you are correct that an attack sub usually accompanies a carrier group.

BUT, that is not a fast attack sub. “Additionally, the Secretary has ordered the USS Georgia (SSGN 729) guided missile submarine to the Central Command region.” The Georgia carries up to 154 Tomahawk land attack missiles.

So sending the Georgia and announcing it IS quite a bit different.

  4. As much as I appreciate the additional presence to defend Israel and deter Iran (among others), with China, Russia, and N. Korea getting increasingly froggy, I question the wisdom of pulling a strike group from the Pacific.

Unless, of course, we have enough assets already in the Pacific to spare them. But they probably wouldn’t tell us that.

  5. And with the hyper-sonics that Russia could have shipped to Iran? Every ship floating over there is one that will not be around to defend Tiawan.
The only way out of the Med is through a very tight funnels.
Suez or Gibraltar. Once in the Med? They can be put on the bottom of it in nothing flat.
Iranian cheap drone swarm attacks proved effective. Coupled with hypersonic missiles, they will prove to be devastating.
Like Col. McGregor says; ” There’s two types of vessels in the Navy. Submarines and targets.”
Couple that all with some in-states action from the muslim terrorist we’ve been importing for like, ever?
WWIII will prove to be very short war. At least our part of it..

  6. Where the attack subs are a matter of interest. Where the boomers are and what they are up to is much more important. If they get involved the war will come to a swift and very ugly conclusion…for the entire planet.
